I Purchased a Roku during Christmas time and was disappointed it didn’t work on my older flat screen television, but didn’t have to return due to the fact I had a brand new flat screen television in the living room where it fit perfectly. I was determined to have a Roku device for my older flat screen television in my room. Four months later I was on the Best Buy website and found this new Roku device you have to plug into the wall. Been a happy camper since. Only draw back is the newest device not voice activated, but oh well you can’t have it all. Very Satisfied!

I have several of the Roku streaming devices and the Roku Express HD was for an older non-4K TV we had. The speed of loading the apps and streaming are similar to our 4K devices so we don't notice anything different here. The biggest difference we noticed between this lower cost unit vs the 4K streaming sticks is the remote. The Express remote doesn't have a power button so you'll still have to use your regular TV remote for that. But for the price, it was a decent trade off. If you need a power button or plan to move the Roku to a 4K TV later on, I'd say go for the 4K streaming sticks as this one is only good for HD streaming.

Just what was needed. We received a SMART TV from a family member & purchase this Roku to go along with it. Fits the bill perfectly.

This is an amazing device! Rather than add a cable box, I got this. It's portable, convenient, and has many features. It takes a little getting used to, as the remote is different from the one for the cable box, but once you use it a while, it's easy.

I needed an additional Roku for one of my guest bedrooms. This Express model did the trick. It was fast and easy to install, which allowed my guests to be able to launch our Spectrum cable app (download from the available apps listed on the menu), in addition to other apps like Hulu and Netflix. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a simple, no-frill, version of Roku.

It works fine. I don’t have any trouble with it at all. Every now and then I have had to reset it but that’s no different than your phone or your computer. And I would not recommend paying or buying other subscriptions for apps over Roku. I would go to that app site and buy my subscription. Always go directly to the site. It’s not about Roku. It’s just for your safety.

Easy to install and set up. Roku offers most if not all of the same networks my family and I watch. Good Internet? Great HD picture with this streaming device. We own three of them!

I'm very happy with my Roku streaming device, I wasn't sure I'd like it because I wasn't familiar with how it works, but I bought it at a great price and when I got it connected I started playing around with it to get familiar, I definitely like it and it's easy to use has a simple remote , can choose the menu to see everything there is to watch and a large selection of streaming platforms to subscribe to without having several different devices, plus there is a featured free section that has everything from tv shows , movies, kids programs, and music and so much more, getting a Roku was definitely a plus for me.

Great product for the price. Very practical device. I opted to buy this version over the more expensive one because I had heard that it looks almost just as good and it does. It’s worked out perfectly for me and what I need out of it.

Simple to set up and easy to use. Great value if you want to use streaming channels on older Smart TVs.

I needed another roku for the kids toyroom, and at this price you can't beat it. Keep in mind there is no power or volume buttons on this version. So the kids might actually have to get up and turn it off or change volume

This item was very easy to set up, the sides work perfect in my tv space, roku got this one right. It’s worth the investment

Great device for a 1080p TV. Set up was a snap and for 20 bucks you can convert your old TV into a Smart TV. The only thing that’s a negative is that the remote doesn’t have a power or volume buttons so you need to have the original remote if you still have it. Love roku, very easy to use! My immigrant grandmother who is over 80 years old, illiterate, and doesn't know English was able to easily learn how to use this. The remote buttons start to have issues after about a year.
