Posted .Hello Michael, thank you for letting us know. Some channels cannot show 1080p resolution because the provider doesn't offer it. This might be due to limits in their content, technical issues, or a choice to use lower resolutions for better compatibility with different devices and internet speeds. If they have not encoded their videos in 1080p, the Roku will display them at a lower resolution. I love the channel selection I get with Roku. Before Roku, I had very little choice in program viewing . Has saved me a lot buy not having to purchase newer TV's.
