The remote decides when and what you can watch at random some times. Overall fits the need, but disappointed in it's use ability.

Roku Express

Okay for that TV not used often. For a few dollars more, I would recommend the Roku Streaming stick. I have since purchased two of the current model which supports voice (not on the Express), Apple Airplay (not on the express), and the remote is not line of site (the express requires line of site).
