Also own several Firesticks as well however, my streaming service is Comcast & Xfinity app is not available as of yet. App is available on Roku & streams very well. Although both tv's are smart devices, Xfinity app works much better on Roku; probably because system is updated more often. Interface very user friendly & if you are using the optical port from tv to sound bar, no issues. Happy streaming!

Found my cable provider and I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this device. I wish I had done this sooner. I could have saved hundreds of dollars on my cable bill.

Roku control

Gives you access to channels and shows which are not on cable. I use to watch MLB and Disney+. The only thing I wish it had was volume control like the Roku Ultra.

Scorches Fire TV

Once it came time to replace a Fire TV Stick, I decided to try the Roku standalone player. I really enjoy the user interface and ease of use over the Fire TV. The remote control, I feel, is easier to use; search function is fast and easy. I now own two of these and will replace the rest of my Fire Sticks with Rokus in the future.

Thinking about cutting the cable cord.

I don't mind using my TV remote to control volume, etc and I like that I can still get all of my apps and the Roku Channel with this device. And the price is right.

IR line of sight remote

I didn't realize that this was line of sight IR remote control also. That has made the set up and hanging the box (and facing it in the right direction) a little bit more of a hassle. For that reason I would recommend spending a few extra dollars and ordering the next step up. The regular Roku's can usually hang behind the TV or mess of cords and still receive the signal fine.
