I first purchased a Roku Ultra, set it up on the main TV and learned (somewhat) how to stream and how the Roku worked. I needed another device for the upstairs TV and when the Express went on sale last month, I thought that it would be fine for the lesser used set. I admit that I miss the TV power on/off and the volume control that is included with the Ultra and not having to have two remotes but the Express works great and it's smaller than the Ultra along with being less than half the price. It's a winner.

I like that it is a very small and uncomplicated item. works well and has some shortcuts to Hulu and Netflix as well as others.

Great option for a regular TV, easy to setup and link the main streaming services, and video quality is like 4K. Just replaced a Chromecast that suddenly stopped working but it was a good move.

I purchased these for my parents to use as they recently (Finally) got high speed internet. These devices are much smaller than I realized when looking at them online - but they are so cute! They work just as well as my full size Roku 4K. The only thing I miss is the remote doesn't control TV volume or power, nor does it have a headphone jack or the search button like my full size 4K, however you can still use the search feature in the remote app on iphone/android but you'll have to use your TV/Home theater remote for sound. I just assume it would have it because my other Roku devices have it (Roku 4K as mentioned above, and a TV with Roku as the operating system). Just be sure you are OK with not having the remote control TV sound or having a search button/headphone jack if you are familiar with other Roku products. Setup was very easy and quick, no steaming issues or buffering issues. Parents are happy. I'm happy!

This is the second time I've bought a Roku Express. It's handy, it's convenient, it's compact, it's got all the features you need, it's fast and it's one of the least expensive on the market. The menu is clear and easy to understand and it's compatible with all TVs.

picked a few of these up for guest room, and back room where older hdtv and a VERY laggy-app Vizio were. Runs very fast, easy to set up, small unintrusive device. I will say that it CAN overheat, especially the 4k models, so DO NOT put on top of a receiver, in a very enclosed space, or on top of anything else that might bring in additional heat, or prevent ventilation... other than that zero complaints, comes with everything you need to get going, minus active accounts on the streaming services.

This is probably the best gift I have ever bought for myself! I was very skeptical for the whole streaming thing, but I just LOVE Roku! It was very easy to set up; in less than 5 minutes I was streaming through so many channels on my basement TV that gets poor reception. I immediately bought 2 more and cancelled my cable TV subscription once I added my "plus" channels-Paramount, Disney, Hulu and Netflix. And, when I had to replace my TV, I got an Onn Roku. And because of the app, it helped streamline my setup. Just great!

I was looking for a way to mirror my phone screen to the TV for YouTube and other videos and bought this. It is perfect! Easy to use, compact, and affordable. Occasionally it will not connect on the first try and must be rebooted before it will recognize the phone, but this doesn't happen often and is a minor inconvenience well worth the trouble.

I am loving my new Roku Express. My old ChromeCast device was "ok" but prone to hanging up and requiring me to reset / restart the current cast, periodically hijacking my phone. I'd get through my episode or whatever but never without a struggle. After the initial Roku set-up (which can be a little tedious) the user interface is infinitely more friendly. I use my TV remote to toggle to the other HD input, set it aside, and then use the Roku remote to navigate my Roku programming. Having to use 2 remotes and not having a voice command option is not a problem for me, but obviously that is a personal preference. Plug it in, set it up, and enjoy seamless free and / or premium content.

I didn't want to like Roku. I have a Smart TV. Why should I need a Roku. But, I learned there were some channels I couldn't get without it. It was on sale at my local Best Buy, so I picked one up. I got years of service from it and grew dependent on it. Then it stopped working. Horror!!! I immediately went online and found this sweet item. I was trying to decide which path to take. Get another TV with Roku built in, or get this. I decided on this. I was running errands and getting Mexican food. I had intended to order my Roku at the beginning of my meal so that it would be ready. I forgot! I quickly ordered it and decided to sit and drink some more iced tea and then mosey that direction. They said it would be an hour. I got a text that it was ready in like 16 minutes and it was in my hands in 27 minutes. That's some good service. It was easy to install. The hardest part was locating and reentering all my passwords for my apps. Once that was done it has been smooth sailing. The picture is slightly better than the older model and I can perceive a difference in the speed, especially since I used my TV old apps for a couple of days. Roku is superior to built-in apps.

Been using the Roku device for a month now, bringing in my selected channels over my Internet app and they play crystal clear. The Roku came pre-loaded with tons of apps, several that I've tried and I'm very pleased with. It was a snap to hook up to the TV and only took a few minutes to set up an account on my laptop. Now I can watch Netflix, Hulu, lots of free stuff and load more streaming apps from the Roku store. It came with Pandora for music and so many more apps already pre-loaded. I have a flat screen TV, but it's not the new Smart style TV type, so adding the Roku gave me access to all the fun apps people like to watch. Couldn't be happier, so glad I was able to turn my dumb TV into a Smart TV with this Roku Streaming Device.
