Fantastic device, I'm sorry I did not cut my cabe earlier. Great price saving me over $100.00 a month in cable shows I would never watch. I can now watch old TV shows and movies any time and the ones I want to see. Easy set up. I highly recommend.

My TV is not smart so I have to have a device to allow me to stream. The basic ROKU works great for what I need and is the cheapest. Walmart was out of the basic model and Best Buy's price was lower than Walmart's for this model even if they had it.

This is easy to set up and easy to use. Allowed us to cut the cable and easily access streaming services. Added benefit is the ability to wireless connect to our computers.

Roku makes a very nice streaming device. I got it for my dad so he could watch Disney+

Picture looks great. Remote is slimmer or sleeker than the last model that I purchased sometime around 2012-13. Connectivity is good. Adhesive strips to put the player into place. I also own the 4K Steaming Stick+. There is a noticeable uptick in video quality there (obviously because of the 4K content). However, if HD is all you need, this is a perfectly adequate player to stream.

So the menus are better laid out with this versus the firestick. (which I also got). You can customize the menus better also. The big difference in my eyes between this and the firestick is the firestick can turn off your tv and raise and lower the volume. This on the other hand allows you to synch up with an app on your phone so if you lose the remote, you can just use your phone and far better than that, you can put headphones in you phone and listen to tv that way - Great if your wife is trying to study or sleep or if you want to walk around or work on other things without having to blast the tv in the next room.

Easy to set up and I am very happy with this item. No power button is the only issue I have and no mic on the remote. But this is the cheapest version. I noticed after purchased and didn’t wanted return it. It was for a guest room.

Five minute set up and I'm streaming. Using this to have access to the Spectrum TV app (among others). I was able to drop a cable box and replace it with this. It will pay for itself the first month.

I bought this for the price and size, and feel I've made a terrible mistake on both accounts with this purchase. I bought this exclusively as a travel streaming device, not wanting to deal with streaming sticks; and unless you're in a hotel without a captive portal for Internet access it flat doesn't work. I succeeded exactly one time using its captive portal support with an iPhone, twice with an Android (meaning I connected to the WiFi network it sets up called Direct-Roku-something or other AND got a browser to open the captive portal), never with a windows laptop. Another negative is you can't cast to this device, it is too skimpy to support casting. If you get lucky enough to have a network without a captive portal, you better have a ton of patience. Click a button, it appears to not have caught it with its narrow IR sensor, move the remote a bit click the same button, move the remote again, click the same button, start to feel maybe you should reboot it for the 3rd time tonight and all the sudden all three clicks go through in a second and you're no where near what you were trying to accomplish. With all that said, occasionally when the stars align and I have 20 minutes to wait for button clicks to accomplish something, it succeeds in streaming video, so thus two stars.

For a non 4K tv this is a great bang for your buck. We've had a Roku Express for years and it was time to upgrade to a newer model. Fast setup, easy to use. Transfers apps connected to your account. Smooth and quick loading while streaming.

Very easy to set up. The adhesive to hold the little box onto the television isn’t very effective, but the device still works very well. Would only recommend if it’s going to be sitting on a flat surface or else it’s not aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

I purchased this as a gift and I had to set it up, and I was impressed at how intuitive and easy it is to get up and running! Just connect to your wi fi, log in to your Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime, or some other services available, and you’re good to go!

I got this Roku to use in my exercise/beauty room, and I love that I can watch Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime while exercising or doing my makeup. I wish it had a power button and a volume button for the tv, but no biggie. I just use the TV remote. Great buy!

Quite easy to set up and control. All we needed was the basic system and this does nicely for our older Samsung Smart TV.
