I bought this for the price and size, and feel I've made a terrible mistake on both accounts with this purchase. I bought this exclusively as a travel streaming device, not wanting to deal with streaming sticks; and unless you're in a hotel without a captive portal for Internet access it flat doesn't work. I succeeded exactly one time using its captive portal support with an iPhone, twice with an Android (meaning I connected to the WiFi network it sets up called Direct-Roku-something or other AND got a browser to open the captive portal), never with a windows laptop. Another negative is you can't cast to this device, it is too skimpy to support casting. If you get lucky enough to have a network without a captive portal, you better have a ton of patience. Click a button, it appears to not have caught it with its narrow IR sensor, move the remote a bit click the same button, move the remote again, click the same button, start to feel maybe you should reboot it for the 3rd time tonight and all the sudden all three clicks go through in a second and you're no where near what you were trying to accomplish. With all that said, occasionally when the stars align and I have 20 minutes to wait for button clicks to accomplish something, it succeeds in streaming video, so thus two stars.

My 2nd one and love the apps and sale price and my cable app is on this device.

Roku is just nice to have when you prefer streaming services over cable! Easy to use and stays updated! No complaints!

Interesting product. Supplements Amazon Prime & Netflix. Good value. Easy to use. Like that it is powered from a USB port on the TV.

Easy to set up, used the same account just required a second roku for the second tv.

Always heard of this device but didn’t know what it was for it makes your traditional tv have all the apps without being smart!

Love it. Received this as a Christmas gift. Works with all my streaming subscriptions. Downloading the Roku app on my phone allows me to use it as a remote, and to listen on my wireless earphones. It’s very easy to set up and use.

I prefer the Roku stick for convenience but this unit is cheaper and they provide mounting tape so you can stick it to the back of the TV is necessary. I’ve purchased several of these in the past with no issues and expect the same with this one.

We bought this Roku to hook up to a TV so we could get You Tube and Internet services on the TV. The Roku was easy to set up. We did not need to get anyone to do it for us, like we usually do with al the newer technology.

This works well ... only downside this does not have voice on remote. I decided to upgrade to the 4K version with voice on remote as the price of that came down by $20 so the difference was only $5.

I was very pleased with the number of free channels that were available. the picture quality was better than I expected.

Was a great purchase, easy set up and is a great alternative to expensive cable or satellite tv services. Works perfectly with You Tube tv, and the menu is very easy to navigate. Would definitely get again!!

This device is so easy to set up and use. It makes it so much easier to switch between streaming services, I have all of the streaming apps in one place and no longer have to be switching between services every time I want to watch a show or movie.

I love my Roku! I don't have a smart TV's in two rooms and this lets me easily stream from them. Very easy to use and I love them! Roku even has a phone app, so if you lose the control you can use your smartphone as a controller.

I bought this for our second TV in the family room. It was basically plug and play. We use Spectrum so the Spectrum channel eliminated having to have another box and it works great and no extra charges! This is our second Roku player. Love them!

This is a life changing gadget! Can't believe I waited so long to get it. I also got a discount when i made this purchase, so the experience was a win win! Easy to install, easy to use, & easy to purchase online & pick up.

This is my third Roku device, and it's easy to set up and use, giving me access to various streaming channels. I like using the Roku app to allow me to listen through my mobile device and not disturb others who aren't watching what I am watching.

Previously I bought 2 Amazon Fire sticks and purchased this because both of them quit working. Roku gives me access to Amazon Prime and several other viewing options for the same price as an Amazon Fire stick which provides access to only Prime.

I got this for an old plasma TV that I had lying around the house. It works really well, allows me to use all my streaming services. It's not lightning fast but it doesn't lag either. Just keep in mind, like the listing says, no TV controls so you can't adjust the volume with the roku remote. Installation is easy, BUT the device is powered through USB and ONLY comes with the cable. So unless you have USB ports on your outlets, you'll need a USB power block like a phone charger.
