Good basic streaming device

Perfect for traveling

I have been able to use this—along with a YouTube TV account to watch live and taped tv. Bonus? As long as I sign into my home location occasionally—it is my home city local news streamed. I haven’t tried in a hotel yet....speeds may not permit but worth a try.

Works good but not for me

However this streaming TV stuff is fine, but more difficult in my opinion to using the cable box. On a few occasions the stream will time out and then you get kicked to the home screen with nothing on it but a splash screen. Perhaps a default channel would work. I'll keep this for streaming the occasional movie or video off the internet.

Sure beats paying Comcast for a cable box

With the Roku, you can use the Xfinity Streaming channel and watch all the shows, and have almost all of the same services, a cable box provides. Since using the DVR feature is virtual, you can record and playback recordings as well.
