The fact that you can download the remote app to your phone in case you can't find your remote is really handy. I would really like the option of being able to mirror my device to the roku without having to pay for an app though. There is a free one but it doesn't really mirror videos and just music. I got this to see the softball championships using sling tv, another great reason why roku is great.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With the cost of cable an ongoing albatross, adopting the Roku to stream Xfinity rather than continue the monthly charge for a separate box is a no-brainer. It's not an identical experience...be warmed...but the loss in functionality is worth the 5 month payback for purchasing this item. If I did it again I would pick up the stick with volume/TV power controls.

Thousands of free programs, movies, documentaries, TV series reruns, etc. Budget friendly. Only issue...no volume control on remote which is available on more expensive Roku models.
