When my partner wanted to buy this, I tried to talk her out of it. We have blu-ray players at home, we have Netflix on every TV, and we even have a Chromecast for watching Hulu or Amazon on the big screen. Still, I caved and I am so surprised at how much I love this little thing. It is perfect and easy to move and take it with you on the go.

I was using the chrome cast but due to competing companies everything won’t mirror to my tv. I didn’t want to purchase Apple TV. I bought the roku and loved it. It took less than 10 minutes to set up. No network issues. Sometimes an app my time out. It’s as simple as going to the home screen and reopening the app you were using.

Great streaming TV option

Works with Xfinity streaming and was able to get rid of control boxes. You can program your TV brand and get on/off and volume control on the Roku remote. Wish there was a keyboard on remote or on screen, for channels and entering passwords. The remote guide function to scan channels works fast enough and you can set favorite channels.

Smart TV

Having a smart tv in my living room I decided I venture out and see if one of those smart tv converter sticks would work on my old Sony. I went to the local Best Buy, was schooled in smart tv sticks and chose a Roku. It took approximately 10 minutes and my old Sony had a new brain! I plan to buy another and put it in our motorhome. Love this!

Cable is out of hand now with the prices and this USB roku is perfect for a non smart tv! I have this in one of my rooms and it is perfect. Download the apps you need like Sling and Netflix and it pairs perfectly with the huge selection of add ons already included with the roku. Cant beat the price for this device.
