    I use it for streaming Direct Tv Now and I don’t care for the way you navigate the app using the Roku. That’s not the devices fault I guess I just like the way the Apple TV works for streaming Direct TV now. Other than that the device works well.

    There should be more detailed instructions. I used a lot of trial & guess work to get it working and still don't believe I have it working with all the options available. I gave it three (3) stars because of the need for better instructions.

    I got this for a TV without a cable box. It works with spectrum and that is good. The thing. is you can't put in the channel number and have to go through the guide to change channels. Not good for a lot of use but for a spare BR it's fine.

    I have used the Firestick and the Roku Stick and I expected this one to be of similar ilk. However all apps require time to load. DirecTVNow takes entirely too long to load and change between chanels. For that this unit has been replaced.

    Our cable carrier's app was not available for our Smart TV brand. I the bought Roku Express to access the app. While it does allow access to the app the remote is ridiculously limited

    We already owned a Roku stick so we bought this for a second TV. Works as should, however all of a sudden the Netflix app does not work. Keeps kicking us out of the account. Only does this on this model. The stick runs the app fine.

    This product was just ok- would work if your WiFi is close to the Roku- my modem was about 30 ft away and worked at first, but then had streaming issues. Do yourself a favor and get the Roku ultra 4K- you won’t be disappointed.

    I bought a gift online and it was defective and would not work. Thank God for Chris P / Kristina @ Best Buy in Papillion, NE for taking Excellent Care of me. The new store item works well and Rating 5 but the online rating item was a 1

    Loses connection all the time. Too many steps to get to where I want to be. Seems like a too sensitive equipment. Can just turn on and go.... it irritates me. I missed part of the program trying to figure out what to push next.

    I like the idea of the Roku turning a tv to not a smart tv. It worked very well when I set it up. Days later I get many issues with poor signal and it won’t launch. Even though I have other wireless devices near by that show strong signal. This is setup one room next to the router and constantly has connectivity issues. I delete the network settings and restart multiple times then eventually it works. I bit disappointed with this purchase and am trying to figure out my options.

    Worked fine for about 2 months, then wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. Took it back to Best Buy who saI’d they could not except Roku returns. Roku required me to send it back to them directly. After calling Roku and getting a return authorization I found that I had to pay postage for the return even though the product was defective. I determined it was defective by reading others reviews stating they were having the same problem. Return postage was almost half of the purchase price. Roku seems like a company I don’t care to give my business in the future!

    The roku is good we use it down stairs for our living room after we cut cable my only issue is sometimes restarts it self on its own without warning not enought to get irritated but still its inconvinent

    It's great for replacing your Xfinity boxes. Wish they came with the microphone built in like their expensive versions. Love Roku TV's throwback shows and all of the apps you can download.

    DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL SOMETIMES IT LOCKS UP , I END UP GOING BACK TO THE MAIN TV WHERE I HAVE A CABLE BOX, HOWEVER IT DOES WORK OK, SOME WHAT OK....BUT BETTER THAN HAVING PAY FOR EXTRA CABLE BOXES

    I bought this for a secondary TV but I’d recommend spending a little more and getting the 4K model. This one is slower and the remote feels cheaply made and doesn’t have a headphone port or volume buttons.

    Seems to work ok when watching Netflix but crashes or freezes multiple times per day when using Sling. Sling says it’s Roku’s fault and Roku blames Sling so no help from either company.

    the roku media player did what i though it would do.i just don't like how i have to locate channels on my tv.you have to return to the beginning to look for a station and its a PAIN.

    I love my original Roku I bought several years ago so much I bought one for just about everyone in my family. But the Roku express has let me down. After only two months of use it is now unusable and won't let me connect since the WiFi shows only one bar on each of the two hotspots I have in my home, where as my IOS and android phones and fire stick in the same location show max bars. Research indicates a design flaw with over heating that burns out WiFi. Warranty hopefully is covered, but getting it to them is on my dime.
