This is a good replacement for our 4-year-old Roku box that stopped working suddenly. My family doesn't take good care of their stuff so it's probably not the Roku's fault. This is a good deal if you are still watching things on a 1080p screen. I've tried other streaming devices but never liked how they felt. Most people should be satisfied with this one.

Basically acts like a mixture between a Chromecast and a raspberry pi. Streams ok but it's weird how the phone and Netflix and Roku talk to each other. Also the volume control is useless. Below 1 there's no sound with the tv volume on max. From 1 to 2 volume is 1/2 max and 3-10 volume is max. Controlling volume with the Roku is useless.... It's a neet gadget but I prefer my Chromecast.

I love the Roku express. I've even purchased them as gifts. Very easy to setup.

I bought this Roku hoping to get rid of my Spectrum cable receiver. The pictures coming out of the Roku is not as clear as the cable receiver. Also one of the most annoying thing is that it doesn’t have number buttons for you to change the channels. You have to scroll all the down or up to the channel that you want. If you’re watching channel 2 and wanted to change to channel 500, you have to scroll from 2 to 500. They have so much room left on the remote and I don’t know why they don’t put numbers on them. If you’re using for the purpose of getting rid of your cable receiver then I don’t recommend buying a Roku.

Yes, my biggest beef about this device is that let's off a ton of heat- when you are not using it, there's still power running thru it, and more than "warm to the touch", about hot. How did this pass UL - or didn't it because of using a Class II power supply, the Roku receiver wasn't tested to safety standards. There ought to be a timer that if you have it on HOME for 1hr, shut it off? Why not an RF remote like TiVo? Add back a headphone jack on the remote. Works ' Ok' outside of my concerns above. Tnx.

It works, and provides you with a lot of tv entertainment options. It's like having cable, but more affordable.

I'm able to watch Netflix and movies I bought on google play on my tv, spectrum, and youtube on my tv.

Works for me as long as you have a high-speed internet you shouldn't have any problems with this device

I’ve had it since 2019, and it stop works fine. At rare times, it can be a bit slow.

Overall the Roku Express is ok, but compared to my Roku 3, it's just passable most of the time. The problem is the wifi connectivity is very sensitive. I have a new high speed modem/router 20mps. This Roku model stops streaming very easy during peak usage hours, my Roku 3 has Never ever done that. The "LOADING" message appears frequently (stops streaming). I am only 6 to 8 feet from my router! BB employees say to expect this performance for the 'cheaper' models.

I bought 2. They work well. Good streaming. BUT THEY BOTH CRASH EVERYDAY.

It's very plain which can be good and bad. I wish it saved subscriber info across all apps so I didn't have to constantly log in.

I bought the Express in January of 2018 and it worked fine until August 2018. It lost the ability to recognize the internet. Roku Customer Service is worthless. You have to pay for your own shipping to send the product back once the 11 day store warranty is up and that's around $10.00. Then Roku may not be willing to replace it. The unit was only $29.99 to begin with, so it's not worth pursuing the Roku warranty.

Worked for an entry into roku devices. I have several and this one is noticeably slower to navigate download apps, etc. Works but you have to have patience.
