My wife and I recently cut the cord and switched to streaming TV. The older model roku that we had was not compatible with the New version of hulu needed for live TV. We went to our local best buy and purchased this model. It is about 1/4 the size of old model roku systems. It is significantly more powerful. Apps load faster. I am impressed with this companies ability to make something so much better in a product so much smaller. It is compatible with Hulu Live. Hulu live is much cheaper than traditional cable or satellite. I highly suggest cutting the cord. My wife and I don't regret it.

Essentially I bought this to replace Xfinity/Comcast boxes on additional TVs to stop paying all the rental fees. For this, it works great. Nice to get Netflix, Amazon Prime, Xfinity Stream, etc. all in one place without having to jump inputs. It is pretty easy/intuitive to set up. The more accounts/streaming services you have, the longer it will take. I wish the remote had a few more features as the navigation can be slow at times. But, I understand this is also dependent on the apps that use Roku's service. It would also be nice if you could bind all apps to your Roku account so that each time you add another Roku device you could just choose the accounts you want used and not have to register/login all over again. If this is possible, I must have missed it. Otherwise, very decent product that servers the needs I bought it for.

Very easy to install, everything is included. Connect the HDMI to the Roku and TV or into amp. Connect power cord. Follow on screen prompts to connect to wifi and you're in business. Streams well and is so fast moving through the large variety of content. Works very well.

Good price for a good device. No problems. Works fast. I could add ever app on it that was on my Roku Prime. Takes up very little room or can be attached to TV.

I have had this device for just over a month or so now. I am very pleased with it. The setup was easy and now I can screen cast from my smart phone to the T.V. I have also used Amazon Prime video without any problems. Nice, cheap way to turn ur T.V. into a smart T.V.

I love this roku it's small enough to tuck away and powerful enough to give a great HD picture easy to set up and easy to use just plug and play

The Roku Exprss Streaming Media Player is fast and easy to use, as far as streaming players go. I'm a bit disappointed in that there are not as many free shows as I expected and most do not have proper parental controls or even ratings. For example, Pluto has LOTs of free shows, but most don't show the ratings and they have lots of R-rated, some strong Rs, but neither the Pluto, the Roko Express, nor our TV's parental controls will block them. I can not load the Pluto app and require a PIN to load any new apps, but that severely limits the free shows. This unit will not be put on living room TV where kids have access to it. Also, couldn't find any local live TV that didn't require a subscription, so can't watch Wheel of Fortune on it. Guess I will do an outdoor OTA antenna for our local programming.

I am happy with the Roku Express, although it is not for everyone. PROS: small, easy to move to other rooms. Not a speedster (especially while loading apps) but not a turtle, neither. Good 1080 picture. Roku's app selection is unbeatable. CONS: Dolby Digital via Optical cable FAILS! There is a statement in the Settings, alluding to this, so it seems it is a problem Roku has not been able to figure out how to fix. If you change from one to another, the 5.1 (Dolby Digital) audio gets mishandled by either the TV or the receiver, and in my case, when that happens, I have to turn off and on the TV, in order for the sound to resynchronize. Apps load kind of slowly, but not to a point that it may be exasperating. There is no USB input (in case you wanted to plug an USB drive, for photos, movies, etc.).

We love this device. We took it on a vacation family visit and plugged it into the rental house TV. worked like a charm. Nice and compact for traveling like this. So far it works great. Wonder how network television will survive now that Roku is going so strong.

Title says it all. I am not tech-savvy AT ALL. Have to ask my easily annoyed teenagers all the time how to get Hulu, Netflix, etc to work on the Chromecast thingy we've got in our living room. This Roku is waaaay easier. You just turn on the tv to the channel the Roku is on and there is is. Easiest, most basic remote in the world is included. All the Apps are pre-loaded and ready to go. Price was right too - only about 30 bucks if I remember right. I put this on the downstairs TV and now never have to spend time with my condescending kids. Life is good!

I own a Sony Bravia TV and it is not a smart TV. We have owned it for about 10 years so I had to make it smart. I bought a Roku Express streaming media player.The Roku has performed great. I have downloaded all the apps like Netflix,Prime and Disney Plus. My wife and I also enjoy the Roku channel. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a streaming device. By the way I have since bought three more Roku Express devices for my other TV's.

Small and connected very easily. Purchased it to replace an older Roku we had, plus it is a 1080 format, so picture is great when we stream.

We purchased this roku for the kids room & through our cable service were about to download their app & stream live tv with no cable hookups in the room. I'm very satisfied & so are the boys!

This Roku Express installed very easily, worked correctly right out of the box, and met all my expectations. I especially like the device being powered by the TV USB port and that the remote controls the TV, reducing clutter around my area.

I was pleasantly surprised at the speed, and performance over my old Roku box, its the size of two cigarette lighters and its peppy enough, I would not load it down with a lot of apps, but it does the job] and the price is good.

The roku was easy to setup. Had it up and running in about 6 minutes. The device works well and has lots of apps to choose from. The remote is simple, but I wish there was an option to purchase the roku with a more advanced remote.

Wasn't sure how easy the set up would be but it was really straight forward. Was unsure if I wanted to give a credit card number as part of the set up but no problem charges so far.

I was going to buy a Google chromecast but I did some research and found that it would not do everything Roku is able to do. I can watch Netflix, Hulu, Xfinity (I didn't have to buy an extra cable box for this TV that is located up stairs) Google play, etc..... Roku is so awesome. This is not the USB drive, this has a tiny box that you point the remote at. It does the same thing as the USB, the only thing is you have to point your Roku remote in that direction, and it was cheaper than the USB. Anyhow, I love it.

Works just as well as the more pricier ones. Has great speed. Great Picture. and is small and nice looking on the table stand.

We bought a TCL TV in 2019 mostly for the image quality and price, thought we wouldn't be that into the built-in Roku, but found we loved it for ease and convenience of streaming. Now we're hooked so we bought this to stream to an older TV. Works almost as good as the built-in version. As most other reviewers have said, the remote is limited. Use the app for more functionality. Overall it's a great value.
