My cable provider, has (again) increased prices and made it essential to have a "boxtop" for each TV in the home at $10 a pop...they want me to pay an extra $40 a month? I don't think so....ROKU to the rescue! Works awesome!

This is my first ever stand alone streaming device and I got it for $30 and it was a great deal. This Roku has HUNDREDS, if not thousands of apps available, plus animated screensavers, and all kinds of cool features. I just wish the remote had more features, like 0-9 number keys because I have my cable tv through Xfinity Streaming instead of cable boxes and it really sucks scrolling 500-800 channels with the up and down buttons. That's my only real complaint about this.

I recently purchased a 50 inch tv that didn't have built in wifi. It was used basically to watch tv thru setop box. I brought another smart tv and gave this one to my 11 year old daughter. Anyone with kids know their into utube and Netflix. So to make this tv smart I researched the reviews of roku and settled on the streaming media player. Setup was a breeze and it had all her favorite channels that she like to watch. Got it on sell. Anyone with a non smart tv roku is the way to go and save a ton of money!!

I'm glad I purchased the ROKU stick. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it since I had never streamed TV before. It was easy to set up and walked me through everything. I still have cable in my house and with Roku I can download the cable app that I subscribe to and get all the channels that I get on my other tv's without having to pay for another box. I could also download the apps of the networks that I watch and watch TV from them. I'm glad I made the decision to give Roku a chance!

Roku is easy to set up and connect to the home network. This is the basic model so it does not have voice command which would have been nice since the remote doesn’t even have a number pad. So using it is a constant exercise of scrolling with the direction pad. Main reason I bough it was to replace the Comcast TV boxes in two of my rooms. Roku saves me $14 a month and the Xfinity App does a decent job of watching all the Comcast channels over the internet.

I prefer this than a smart tv. There is no lag. Provides great picture. Compact. Usb charged. Easy remote

Awesome device. I have this and the ultra. Even though the ultra has a few bonus features, they both basically do the same thing

This is such a great value. It allows me to watch tons of shows for free, without having to subscribe to anything like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. Of course, this enables you to download any of those types of apps so you can watch, but the Roku also includes several free channels and shows (with commercials, but not a big deal), as well as news and movies. It’s easy to use—just plug it in.

I have an older Samsung 32" LCD TV that wasn't a smart TV. I recently switched to Spectrum as my internet and cable provider. The Spectrum tech told me that Roku has an app to for Spectrum instead of using a cable box. Easy install and easy configuration. Once running I downloaded the Spectrum app and was able to access all my cable channels. I highly recommend this device as a streaming player. I have Amazon prime and Netflix ready to go as well.

aI use this on one of my older TVs that did not have smart capabilities. it allows me to get all the latest subscription services, plus I use it as a cable box as I got Youtube tv. Small and easy to set up. Roku also has a lot of free TV stuff on it so i can watch almost anything,. Netflix, hulu, Amazon, Disney Plus, HBO all available on this platform. it also made me not have to buy another tv.

The streaming part of my DVD player died and I needed to replace it. After using my laptop with the TV for weeks, someone recommended Roku. All I wanted was something simple and inexpensive to stream Netflix and Youtube to the TV via our home's wireless network. The Roku does this and much more...lots of free stuff I haven't explored yet (PBS!!!). The best surprise for me is that Beachbody on Demand is available, so no more dragging around the laptop to exercise.

I bought this to replace an older Roku. Installation and controls are extremely simple. It picks up my WIFI signal with no problem at all. I'm amazed at how easy it is to access Amazon Prime video offerings!

This is my third Roku. I bought this basic one for an older TV that is in my guest room. I travel with it as well. I love that I can access all my accounts such as Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Redbox, Kaleidoscope (provides free video through your library) and more to watch movies and my favorite shows. This is the perfect economical solution if you do not have a smart TV. In addition, it provides access to apps than my Samsung Smart TV does not have!

I needed to get a internet streaming device for our bedroom but there were a lot of options. Went with this and honestly, it's way better than I thought it would be. The wifi connection has been solid and there is a good amount of content available for it. Seems to be just powerful to get the job done. No sluggishness, just smooth. It comes with everything to get setup, including an hdmi cable, a remote and the Roku itself. Easy to setup. This is unit is a win and would be perfect for anyone needing a bare bones streaming device.

Bought it for a family member and they loved it. They watch Netflix shows at their own convenience. Easy setup and quick navigation learning. This is our second set, so family members are happy.

Dont watch much TV so was looking for something not to expensive and that had all my subscriptions. This Roku is a great by for anyone not interested in needing all the extra flashy stuff like 4K etc. It works great its HD. No lags and easy to install and sticks right on to the tv remind me of that sensor that is used for the Wii but all in all good product definitely get a great bang for your buck. We own 2.
