Works great and the set up is easy. It’s has everything Apple TV does. At a much cheaper price.

What a delightful change! I'd had a second generation Apple TV for ages, passing it along to my mom after a handful of years. She enjoyed it for a few years herself, but when it became apparent that the device was finally too old, we looked to the fourth generation of Apple TVs. What a nightmare that turned out to be. I then did some research of other devices, and Roku won out hands down. This model in particular, Premiere, was the best option for our budgets and our needs, so both my mother and I have one now. Roku gives you much more freedom. It does not shove you into a store app when you search for something. When my mother briefly had the 4th gen. Apple TV, searching for Orange Is The New Black from inside the Netflix app brought us to a purchase screen in the App Store. Ridiculous. Roku also offers you a variety of ways to view content from your personal computer. I use and recommend Plex, which has a robust free-to-use version of their product that should suit anyone's basic needs. For users migrating from iTunes, you can have Plex simply copy your existing library. Your biggest hurdle will only be the simple task of familiarizing yourself with a new interface. The Roku smartphone app is handy as well. So far my only qualm is there are occasions when, if I am using the personal audio feature via headphones, the audio will occasionally cut out. It can be annoying, but it is infrequent and it is a feature I use sparingly. If you anticipate using this feature on the regular, you may want to do some research on that hiccup before making a decision.

I own this item and a Roku Express. Both work great, but this one loads faster. I just turn on the TV and it is ready! I use them mainly for Sling TV and Netflix and they work better than the applications on my Smart TVs. For example I need to reset the Sling TV application on my Sony TV every time I want to start using it, and my Samsung TVs it takes a couple minutes to get ready and open Netflix (Sling TV not available).

I don't know how anyone who loves watching tv/movies be without a Roku. So much to watch just in what's offered for free. It turns your tv into a smart tv. And I hardly ever even rent from Redbox. We stream our Netflix and hulu through Roku. You can even subscribe to some cable channels for a fee. Still better than cable because you can purchase only the channels you want.

Works great so far. No issues whatsoever. If you place it too far from the router, then ethernet connection is recommended, so the inbuilt ethernet port is a life saver. Have been using roku for years now. Worth the money.

Son bought for his room and loves it. He wanted it mainly for Netflix and You Tube. Works great!

I have 3 Roku's and just installed one for my Mom as well. So much more content to view at a lot less cost. Between the 2 of us, we are saving over $200.00 per month.

We cut our cable to save money. With the help of the knowledgeable staff at Best Buys, we got an antenna and the Roku. It has so many options to choose from and is so easy to adapt to. Being of the "older" generation I was concerned about changing. But it has been extremely easy to get used to the Roku . I would highly recommend this to anyone who is sick of cable prices skyrocketing.

I was hesitant to spend the money since my bluray player already streams most of the apps I want, but this runs so much faster and smoother and seems to have better video and audio quality than the bluray. Definitely glad I got it since most my viewing is via streaming services now. Kind of wished I went for the next level with the point anywhere remote though, but not a big deal.

Roku, did everything it promised and more. It was super easy to sink with TV, Phone and Computer. Very intuitive programming that makes it easy to navigate, add channels, delete channels and search for any program or movie you are looking for. I do not have cable TV or Dish TV, but I get so much for free it is such an amazing savings over having to pay monthly charges to watch TV. LOVE IT!

So I spent $400 on the new Samsung 4k/3d blueray player when it first came out. Oh what a disappointment that was I couldn't stream 4k movies because the didn't have the streaming rights or whatever it was. So I heard about the roku. Went and purchased it and I'm extremely happy with it. The only downfall is that you have to unplug it to turn it off or else it will continue running.

Soooo glad I finally made this purchase! The quality of the shows and movies I watch thru it is execellent and I can now watch shows on my TV that I don't have access to thru ondemand. I also love how you can do a search for certain movies and it will show you which streaming services have them for free and also lists the prices available to rent so you can find the cheapest price.
