It is an all in one streaming device that allows you to streamline all of your streaming options in one device. The addition of 4K streaming is a definite plus if you have a 4K television. Seeing that there is limited 4K content out there it is nice to have a device that brings all of the content together. Everything is not available in 4K, but Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon are the best places to start.
