I would recommend ascertaining one's broadband capacity and wifi coverage before starting..I had to make some tweaks on mine to get things right. I really like the earphone jack in the controller, a welcome feature that I was unaware of when purchasing.

Roku is awesome

It's on her main TV and get used daily. Roku has a good interface and it's easy for seniors to use. I wish the remote were rechargeable like the Apple TV but it's not that big of a deal.
