This works perfectly for my need and setup was very easy.

I returned it upon figuring out that I couldn't download Kodi onto it. Not bad a little hard to navigate.

This Player is one of the newly released models I was hoping would have improved and fixed previous issues. It is an alternative to Subscription T.V. but not without it's own problems. Like the choices of options to add additional channels a person can choose from beyond having to pay continuous and ever-increasing cable fees. A lot of channels are free choices however, some require subscriptions. Cons are the untimely regular interruptions of the player causing channel freezing requiring either rebooting or totally resetting the player. Roku Customer Support continually says the same thing as a fix for the issues experienced, but the interruptions continue to happen. Personal experience thru trial and error, I found the players are less compatible with Sony T.V.'s. I experienced less problems (but still experienced) when using Samsung and Vizio as the only other T.V.'s used. I don't know if any other brand(s) of T.V will work better or worse. Someone else may experience differently. A question in this review asks, "Would recommend this to a Friend?" Since there is no choice other than Yes or No, I say "Yes" with a warning, If willing to have patience and deal with the issues mentioned, "No," if you're not! Your choice.

I bought the Roku because it was recommended by a Geek Squad member when they were installing new components in my home theater system. I purchased it solely on his recommendation. It was not easily installed, and I ended up contacting Roku customer service. This proved to be an eternal nightmare! Ultimately, I paid the Geek Squad to install it. It was either that or take it back. Now it is working, and streaming just fine.

Works great. I am able to add all streaming options on an older tv without buying a smart tv.

Easy set up easy to use. Very friendly product. Recommend for anyone wanting to cut the cord.
