Our ROKU was 3 years old and had quit working. This model was less expensive than the previous one, is much improved, easier to use, quicker to operate, and grater selection of channels.

Its awesome product, giving smarter way to TV. Its just plug and play

Got tired of paying Comcast extra money for 'renting' their cable boxes so I bought a couple of these. Can't even tell the difference. Note: Both boxes I bought (1 from BB the other from AMZ) actually contained a premiere + unit. That unit contains an Ethernet port and micro sd card slot.

We have three of these in our house: Roku 3, Roku Premiere and Roku Ultra. No cable, just these and an antenna. I know that there are many different choices out there to manage content but I like the ease of installation, channel choices and innovation. The latest that I really like, is that I can down load the Roku App and plug in my headphones and listen to the TV (can do this with some Roku remotes). I do this in the exercise room. No long do I have to turn the volume up to hear above the elliptical machine noise. Screen layout for the channels is first rate. I am Apple user of all things technology, but when it came to streaming I am a Roku fan.

Great upgrade love streaming live tv.Much better than older models

I purchased the roku and I am surprised how many things I can watch. The system is easy to operate, several options of shoes and channels. Clear picture no lag time. Easy setup.

I purchased this to replace a second generation Roku 2 after looking at the specs. After using this for a month or so I would say this is in fact basically an improved Roku 2. This model doesn't have the bells and whistles of the more expensive options but it does work very quickly and easily. Others have noted the lack of an Ethernet port, but I have excellent wifi signal where it is placed and it runs very smoothly for me even with lots of traffic on my network. I will say however that if you aren't looking for a 4K streaming device I would go with Roku's streaming stick. I have a couple of those in my house and because the remotes don't need line of sight and I see little or no difference in connection speed I would get one of those instead. If you do want the 4K, I would say this Roku will do what it should.

Using psvue is easy on this. Switching apps,channels is streamlined. This is a little faster than the stick but I like I don't have to aim the remote for the stick. This you do.

Enjoying our roku, have no problems and cheaper than satellite

I've already got a Roku 2 and I was about to put this new one in our bedroom but I noticed out of the box that the power adapter was the same shape so I unplugged the Roku 2 and hooked up the Premier and it did some auto adjusting and boom, I've got a better picture on what is already the best TV in the house in the living room. Then I moved the Roku 2 to the bedroom and it works just fine on a smaller TV where I'm less concerned about high fidelity. We cut cable in our house and Roku is the way to go. Also notable is that Roku supports screen mirroring from my Samsung phone and tablet and I find that to be pretty convenient and cool.

Easy to use and set up. Work as expected. Love the features.

This works great to watch, Netflix, Hulu, MLB, HGTV and many other programs. It was easy to install and consistently works better than the Chromecast that we were using.

We have 3 rokus throughout the house and love them. We stream music and TV. Love being able to use the app on the phone as a remote and speaker

Great item to begin cutting the cord at a reasonable price

Very easy to set up and great picture quality. Truly 4K resolution. From opening the box to watching shows was less than 10 minutes including downloading a lot of apps.

I was afraid this would be too slow or outdated to enjoy watching Amazon Prime or Netflix, but it works great. We have an older tv that has an hdmi port but only runs 1080. This works just fine for that. It does not seem to slow down our wireless, either. We have an Apple tv connected to a different television that I like, but it does not have Amazon Prime. The Roku sticks I have purchased never worked. So I was hesitant to purchase this model, but it really does work fine. I do wish that the remote had an Amazon Prime button, like the older remotes. But that's a small inconvenience!

Have enjoyed this product...It does what it says...

Very easy to install and use, had to look up a few things...like how to install apps not listed. Gave 4 stars because the volumn up/down doesn't always work, and the icon for headphone shows up on screen when this happens.....when no headphones are not plugged in. Usually have to unplug Roku and plug back in to reset.

I am so glad that I got this Roku. This is our 2nd Roku the first is the express. I prefer this one because it has the headphone jack so that I can watch TV without having to worry about the volume getting too loud. I definitely recommend this Roku.

So far the device seems to be very reliable. Easy setup, fast with a decent build. Has all of the services you may be looking. A good buy for those looking for a streaming device.
