You can log into your streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and others. It becomes a one stop shop for all your shows. Only negative thing was we could not find the WatchTV app to add to the roku.

Great addition to older smart TV

So it is on all the time unless you completely unplug it, so it gets VERYVERY HOT. there are other models that are probably able to be turned on and off. But this was a great buy for the price

We had Fire Sticks previously, but the newest one was complete garbage. It’s dumb that Roku still uses IR tech for these so that you cannot control volume from the remote. You can purchase their expensive remote, but then the total price is approaching like $70. I also expected the UI to have been improved since the last time we used a Roku device, but it’s just okay. We gave this to one of our kids and bought Apple TV instead.
