Please avoid Roku

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally don't take time to write negative reviews, but this product is so poorly designed, fails so quickly, and is completely unsupported by Roku that I had to. It worked fine for a while, but randomly started overheating. It was installed exactly as instructed, I followed all the troubleshooting steps, I tried to work with Best Buy, I read guidance on-line, I re-optimized my home wifi channel, and tried multiple times to contact Roku - with zero response. A search on-line will show you how common it is for this unit to fail and overheat, and how Roku does not stand behind its products. Again - I normally don't do this kind of thing - but as a result, I won't buy any Roku product again and am spending time to caution others to do the same. The only reason I bought a Roku is to get NBC Sports Gold, so I guess I'll try a FireStick next. Avoid Roku! Good luck.
