Great streaming media player for the price!

However, most of them are the older smaller models, and cannot stream live TV, at least from Hulu. For the such a smaller price (probably less than 20% of the cost) than a newer AppleTV, these fit the bill perfectly. They stream live TV and can view the Hulu cloud DVR. Easy to set up, and perfect to have in extra or guest rooms.

I did not need to remove the TV from the wall to install it. The remote works best with the device under the TV rather than behind it. I attached the device to the bottom frame of the TV with Velcro, so it looks like it belongs there with no exposed wires.

Great addition to an older tv!

Couldn't be happier. Easy to install, great menu, simple to use. Completely unobtrusive. Our old Sony even had all the ports needed for installation. For some reason when the Roku plugged in the TV assumed we would use a supplemental sound bar. Once that was turned on everything worked like a charm.

Gave our old smart TV a second life

We should have done this a long time ago! We're so happy that our favorite apps are working again and we can resume streaming our shows. There is a USB cable included so you can plug this directly to your TV (as power source for the Roku device). The unit does warm up a bit, so just keep an eye on that. FYI, you would need to create a Roku account and put in a payment info (for future rentals or purchases) to set-up the device.
