Roku business model suprising and off putting

Roku's entire business model is based on forcing obnoxious advertising into your face and tracking and selling data about your usage. Somewhere in the Roku terms, it even mentions that Roku reserves the right to force ad content into otherwise ad-free services. That's more than obnoxious - that's a no-go. Unplugged. If you have better things to do with your time than submit to advertising and data mining, then move right past and beyond Roku.
