    right now, I do not like this system at all. It is not easy to use for someone who does not know much about "streaming" TV. Written instructions would be useful as not everyone has access to a computer or feels comfortable using a computer.

    Like the product, but they have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. You'll be fine as long as you don't need customer service for anything.

    So so, constantly dropped wifi signal

    The Roku Premier constantly dropped the wifi signal when all other devices including the tv would work fine with existing wifi signal, 110+ mbps. Even after resetting it continued to drop signal. Not impressed.

    It was good when it was working, it's been a few weeks that is giving problem connecting to the internet, until the point it won't connect anymore. I bought the newest version and it works good!

    My cable bill had been increasing significantly over the years, so in about March of 2018, I decided to do a Hulu + Live TV trial since it is compatible with the Nintendo Switch. After using Hulu + Live TV for all of 2 days, my wife and I decided that it offered significantly more than our cable package did, and for less than half the price, so we cancelled our cable subscription and switched to Hulu. The problem was that the only Hulu + Live TV-compatible device we had that worked with our television was the Switch, which is easy to use but our families, who often come over to help out with babysitting, found it pretty obtuse to use. I recently got a Roku after doing some research and I love it. The Roku works well, and it's quick. It's comparable to the Switch's speed for streaming. I also noticed that apps on it seem to work much better than their counterparts on other gaming devices, such as the PS4 (the Funimation app in particular is a nightmare on PS4, but it's buttery smooth on Roku). The most important thing about Roku, for our needs, is that the grandparents can use it with ease. Pick up the classic-style remote, press the Hulu button, and you're watching some Disney Junior in seconds. No phone apps, no video game controllers, nothing other than a classic remote control. Roku is unnecessary for a lot of people. Smart TVs often will have a similar string of apps and compatibility. Game consoles offer similar experiences. However, I'm satisfied with my purchase because as the tech-savvy member of a largely non-tech savvy family, it offers a quick and easy solution for everyone else. If you or your loved ones fall into the category of non-tech savvy and you're looking for something basic, easy, and very functional to use for streaming, I would urge you to strongly consider Roku. It works well, there are plenty of options to choose from (other reviews here lay those out really nicely), and it makes streaming a breeze for the generation used to flipping through channels using a remote.

    Bought this to watch Spectrum TV app. Unfortunately Spectrum and Roku had a disagreement and Roku blocked the Spectrum app. Spectrum customer service confirmed this. So I returned it.

    Remote not working. Called Spectrum, Roku, Samsung. Not one person was able to get it to work. Went online for help. Nothing suggested helped.

    After a year of use, the device is overheating and will have to be replaced. I think these devices should last more than a year.

    I returned it because I wanted the one that can sync with my TV, so I can turn it off/on, go volume up and volume down all on the same remote and this does that.

    Do not buy this product. The remote doesn’t have an on/ off button, nor does it have volume control either.

    I bought this and couldn't get it to connect to my home wifi. Called customer support and they wanted me to pay for help connecting the device. No thanks. Returned and bought a fire stick. No problems.

    Just got overheated. Good thing it shows on my tv to check the temperature. But this is way too soon for it not to work. I bought this in January 2019. Today is 11/30/2020

    Worked great for the first week. Week two unit started not performing as it should. Streaming dialogue wasn't synced with mouths. Always out of sync now. Pony up the extra cash for the better models

    Used a network monitor to see why this quit working after a couple months...found that it was working, very well. It was using bandwidth and phoning home yet the video would buffer constantly (239 Mbps). A little looking around and found that Roku makes most of their money selling data collected from the devices. Tossed it in the trash.

    Terrible device. Stopped working after only a few months. Won’t connect to tv. Only purchased this to access Xfinity from a different tv and although it worked in the beginning it started having issues not long after. I’ve had the Amazon tv for years now and never had issues. I wish Xfinity worked with them. Currently trying to get a warranty exchange through the manufacture website.
