Tiny beast

I was putting up with the slow and clunky "smart" features of my TV and resigned myself to that fate when I was at my brother's place and saw him using an older roku that was running circles around what my TV could do. A quick trip to Best Buy later and I got this unit and couldn't be happier. Dead simple to use, super fast in doing its thing, and the number of available channels is crazy. Don't settle for the garbage interface built into your TV. Use this instead.

Connected on same HDMI cable that cable box was hooked up to AV receiver with. I think picture quality is better and audio actually passes Dolby Digital + and DTS, cable box would only pass DD. Simple set up and program/movie viewing options are great. Subscribed to Directv Now and while their interface (menus and guide) is a little difficult at first, you get increasingly comfortable with use. Wish I would have done this sooner!

Easy setup

The old one was slow and hardly would connect to my network. This new unit is fast and easy to setup and connects quickly to the network. The price is really good especially to hook to a 4K tv. This is my 5 th unit, not because the old ones broke, but needed to upgrade them to a faster speed and to load the new software.
