I purchased this device to eliminate my monthly additional cable box fee on a spare TV in my house. The set up was easy since I had my son do it. The TV is easy to operate. The only thing I wish the remote had numbers on it to press and change the channels but otherwise it has paid for itself already.

Got this Roku for 50” Hitachi we’ve had for 8 years. TV works great so no need to replace it, but Xfinity will not allow us to stream all channels on the cable box, so we needed a way to do this. Roku is simple to set up in minutes and simple to use. Biggest pain is that cable remote is still needed for volume.

Easy set up and can quickly be moved from one TV to another throughout the house. Love that I can hook up my headset (wired and wireless) to the Roku as I avoid waking my spouse when staying up late to watch a movie and/or show. If you lose remote no problem as you can control device from the Roku app

The set up instructions are very easy to follow. I suspect it took about 15 minutes. One of the best features: Roku gives you the option to use your cell phone/iphone as a remote control instead of the one that comes in the box. You can actually mirror the remote and its functions on your phone.

I have a Roku TV in my living room and i love it. My Samsung in my family room does not have some of the streaming apps i enjoy so the simple solution was to add the roku streaming device to my existing TV. I love it and it solved my frustration with samsung not updating the apps on the TV.

My daughter has a roko smart tv and my tv was a regular LG tv and I purchased this in order to watch Netflix and Hulu on my tv also and it works great! It made my regular tv into a smart tv! Plus it was very simple to set up, the instructions walk you right through it.

I have one of these on my guest room TV and I bought a second one for my mother's house. The remote now includes Disney Plus and other shortcuts that I love. The quality installation is a breeze. This is the fourth in a line of different Roku models that I have purchased each with different needs and it's never let me down.

Was afraid to get because I'm not into that much technology, used to cable and using the format that cable uses. Click a number, page up & down, etc. However, this was not as hard as I thought it would be, and I have access to a lot more shows, TV shows, and movies than just with cable.

I am really enjoying the Roku streaming device as an alternative to cable on televisions where I don't need my DVR content. Roku supports many apps for services that I already subscribe to through cable, such as Showtime, HBO, and more. Now I get stream those services without a cable box, using Roku. Very easy to set up.

Got this on sale at Best Buy at a great price.....it was only $25! Easy to set up and I like that this device is small! Does what it's supposed to do but I wish that more free 4K content was available! Found one 4K special on sharks on the Roku Channel which had AMAZING video quality! We have FIOS which doesn't look good on our 70" LG 4K TV so I hope to compare against Locast streaming but so far so good!

Got this as a gift for my sister who isn't too tech savvy. The Roku is a great alternative to something more expensive such as an Apple TV. I think it's very much worth the price tag and allows you to stream all of your favorite shows on services in one place.

The premier does everything you would need at a basic level, but for my money I prefer the roku ultra. The ultra has a little better remote - a few added buttons for more control and voice control built in. The premier does not. The ultra has an Ethernet port if you ever need it. The premier does not. The ultra has room for memory expansion. The premier does not. The ultra comes with headphones. You can get it on sale for almost the same price.

It makes whatever tv you connect to it a smart tv. The airplay 2 can lag a bit compared to an Apple TV however it isn’t significant. Has roughly all the same functions of an Apple TV making this a perfect substitute for a fraction of the price! Reason for only 4 stars is it runs hot so don’t leave it on a surface that can be damaged by heat easily. Perfect for people traveling or ones without a smart tv.

We have a roku in every room of our house, practically, but they were getting old so tried this one out. Since we cut the cord this roku has been great, much faster than our older models and you can access channels that you can not on the older models too. Wish they would put it on sale again so I can order more.
