Bought this item so we could use an older non-smart tv to watch Spectrum cable using their app. As easy as possible to install; plug it in and register online. Navigation is easy. Quickly loaded the Spectrum app and set-up Netflix, Amazon, and even our Great Courses Plus subscription. Will probably need to purchase more of these to stream MLB TV to older smart tvs that no longer support the app. The only downside is that it does not control the volume of the TV so I have to use two remotes.

Was skeptical about purchasing this Roku. That was because I did not understand enough about it and how it works. Glad I bought it now because its saving me $150.00 per year in provider fees and I can get rid of my cable tv subscription. You really don't need a box if you have a smart tv because you can stream video content over the internet and get all the channels you think you want. It was easy/quick set up so you are up and running in no time. Must also mention the great price of $35.00 - a Best Buy special - cheaper than its competitors.

Decided to leave Xfinity TV and use Roku as my internet portal. Very easy to set up and I have Roku working on three TVs with good performance. The only issues I've run in to regard the audio control (can't be achieved with older tv's lacking a newer HDMI configuration), and the tight fit of the stick on one tv (have ordered the free hdmi extender). Still learning about some of the features of Roku, and I'm quite happy with switching to YouTube TV for access to local channels and unlimited DVR.

I bought this streaming media player as a replacement for my first stick. I've been having some issues with Sling TV app rebooting on the fire stick quite a few times while watching TV and even though I followed the recommendation of "clearing the cache" on the fire stick daily, it was just becoming a PITA to keep doing it. Moving to the Roku player I have not had this issue nearly as much. Don't get me wrong, the Sling TV app still reboots on the Roku, but no where near as much as on the fire stick. Not to mention, the Roku player is faster than the fire stick restarting, as well as when changing channels, changing apps, loading content, etc. Overall the Roku seems to out performs my fire stick in many ways.

My original reason for purchasing was for the Xfinity app. I wanted to get rid of any extra cable boxes. The Xfinity app works pretty well. Lose some of the cable search features and things but this being on a secondary TV is not a big deal at all. Have not had any issue streaming cable (or anything else). Roku was easy to set up and connect all of my accounts - Netflix, Hulu, Prime. My only real knock on it is the remote. It's not great. There is an app that allows the use of cell phone for remote which is an upgrade. I also had a universal remote that I wasn't using that I connected and it works well with the Roku. Remote that come standard is my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 but I guess I could've paid more for one of the better packages.

I purchased 2 different Roku sticks, and the Google ultra to compare. This guy won hands down, just in intuitive menus, and ease of assimilation. It provides a superb picture, and gives you a great selection of apps to choose from. I raised my internet speed to a gig, and dropped tv from comcast. I saved 100 bucks a month, and get the channel lineup I want, not some preboxed lineup the cable company is trying to dump on me.

I love my Roku system and it works great. Best investment for the channels I like.

This is my 3rd Roku Premiere 4k. I find the roku so much easier to use than the streaming systems that are on my Sony or Samsung smart tv's. The best thing is using the keyboard on the mobil app when searching for something. The up down left right enter for each character when entering something on the standard tv remote for me is too tedious. Also the private listening feature on the mobile app lets you use create bluetooth with a tv that does not have it.

Needed a roku to get cable in a bedroom, which we used to get through the wall at no charge & now they no longer do this without paying for another cable box, or upgrading the tv to a smart tv with roku built in. Was extremely easy to set up and was up and running in less than 10 mins. The picture quality was better than what we were receiving through the coax cable from the cable company. It also changed our tv into a smart tv as we can now ad more apps. We are extremely happy with this product and I would highly recommend to do this.

I have a ton of Roku items, and all perform excellently. This one is no different. Cut the cable!

If you don't need the fancy bells and whistles of the more advanced Rokus, this is a terrific 4k streamer. Great channel support, and quickly responsive to remote control commands. One nice bonus: it has the best support for the Xfinity beta channel among streaming devices. I really like my Fire TV 4k streaming stick, too, but the Xfinity beta channel implementation is a little clunkier. Also, the Fire TV 4k stick is usually $50, so this is a great device at an attractive price.

Fantastic product! I bought this especially to use it for Spectrum cable application and it’s everything that I needed to receive the programming! This was just for Spectrum...it also has Vudu (fire stick doesn’t carry) which I’ve purchased a lot of movies & tv series on. Ultimately the Roku stick is outstanding and it’s actually a lot better & easier to operate than the fire stick. Excellent purchase price at Best Buy, extremely reasonable price for 4K.

A must have for entertainment on the go! Good design. Easy to set up! Highly recommended.

If you want to stream easier on your TV, or your TV doesn't have the Smart features you want, I would recommend this. If you want 4K video, then you need to look at something else because this doesn't offer it. Also, if you really need to use 5GHz WiFi, then also, look elsewhere. Now, I can't compare this to other models, but this works well for what I wanted it for. Would recommend.

It was on Sale and easy to use! Great value for so many features. Have several in our house now. Easy set up.

Can't complain, I've been using Roku for a while now since I've cut my cable years ago and they kept improving thus far. This particular model replaced a two-year old Roku and one thing noticeable beyond better picture quality is it's response to the remote control. This one seems to fix the only complaint I've had on my older Roku is that they were not very responsive to the remote control. This one fixed that so - NO COMPLAINTS ANYMORE!

My son purchased my wife and I a Disney+ subscription. We don't have anything to play it. We went to Best Buy and got an explanation of how to use it. We purchased a Roku device for HD TV and included upgradeable capabilities for 4K. We have cable TV. It was very easy to install, one step at a time slowly. It worked first time. Added the Disney+ subscription. First show was great and the following 8 in the series were great too. Trying to decide if I want other subscriptions.

Installation and setup were quick and easy. Device has low visual impact and can be mounted inconspicuously almost anywhere on or around TV. Only negative so far is that it adds another remote.
