The sound from the bar is superb. Definitely much better than the tv itself. The talk option on the remote is nice. This was an upgrade from an old Roku and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to log in and have everything look exactly like my old one.

I was in need of a new streaming device for my 50" plasma TV. Since my TV is obviously older it does not have much in the way of speaker/sound modification. I went back and forth between the Roku Stream Bar and the Sound Bar. Knowing my wife did not want a large sound bar, I went with the Stream Bar. It is a very good choice overall. The audio quality is good. Yes, it could use more base and the sound could be fuller overall. I'm sure if you add the sub woofer that would improve the quality. It upscales picture to 4K resolution, so much better picture overall. It fits my needs perfectly. If you are looking to use it as your primary music sound source then I would look else where. If you are looking to enhance watching movies then you will most likely need the sub woofer and surround speakers. So a lot more $$. If you are looking to use it to enhance your TV viewing for regular TV watching then it is perfect.

It's been great so far. Sounds pretty good, although I think it would be better with the other speakers and subwoofer. Had some issues with it being glitchy once but I think it was the HDMI it came with. It stopped, if it starts again I'll buy a good quality HDMI and that should solve it.

If you like the Roku user interface and need to breathe life into an older TV that isn’t “smart” or doesn’t have a user-friendly interface this is a great option. Plus it doubles as a sound bar so it will provide you with an audio upgrade for a better listening experience. Also, the sound bar can be paired with the Roku wireless speakers to create surround sound which can be another benefit if you can afford it. This is what I did in our bedroom and I’m happy with the purchase.

THE GOOD: Sound is clear and full with surprising bass in a 250 sq. ft. room. It even creates faux surround sound, thanks to the forward and sideways facing speakers. I have it hooked up to an older Vizio TV that doesn't have an HDMI ARC port, but it includes an optical cable that allows sound from the Nintendo Switch plugged into the other HDMI port to come through. I don't need to switch inputs on the TV--I can press the home button to switch to HDMI 1 and turn on the Switch to switch to HDMI 2. Lots of good free content is available, even if you don't pay for any subscription services. THE NOT-SO-GOOD: I wish there was a more uniform experience across the various streaming services. I often turn subtitles on or off and switch into different languages, depending on what I'm watching with whom, and the way to change those settings is different in different apps. Also, the search function handles voice search differently in different apps. Voice search from the home screen works great, but if I'm in an app, it might work, or it might not, or it might exit the app and take me to Roku's native search results screen, which can be annoying.

Combining the ease of use familiar to roku users with a really nice sounding speaker this is my favorite tech purchase in a long time. I have it in my bedroom and it replaces my xfinity cable box and streams Netflix, Amazon prime etc. Couldn’t be happier.

I was sceptical at about this small sound bar but when i started to watch all my shows it did not disappoint. Sound quality is great and it has very good base too it as well i highly recommend this product.

This soundbar is so much clearer than the TV branded one I replaced. I can hear the speaking on shows so much better now. Planning to get the subwoofer soon, I need the extra bass

Purchased this Roku to replace my cable. I liked the fact that it had a built in speaker. The sound bar is good for a small room or bedroom. The Roku was easy to setup and configure.

Our new 55" TCL 4K TV has Roku built in and we love the Roku experience. We wanted to duplicate the Roku experience with our bedroom wall mounted 2015 42" Vizio 1080p TV. I simply mounted the Streambar directly to the bottom of the TV so audio is always pointed at us. For the money, I couldn't be happier. Best Buy price matched Amazon so I paid $10 less - a nice perk. The notion that the sound bar can be expanded to include a wireless Roku subwoofer and two Roku wireless rear surround speakers was also very appealing. It leaves me in control of the decision if and when to expand. The sound quality is respectable and we've never had to strain to hear dialogue clearly. Once we add the Roku wireless sub, I expect the Streambar to sound even better as it will no longer be the primary source of bass. Oh, and the money I saved on the Roku went towards a two year warranty. I've got a good sounding sound bar for the money I paid and two years peace of mind. I'm glad I made this purchase.

I purchased the Roku Stream Bar for myself and like it so well that I bought one for my son. He hooked it up and said it is a very good product (he is a techie/electronics guy, so he knows). I have a hearing disability and the sound bar really helps me hear the TV better, especially for programs on PBS with English/Welch accents. For the money, this is a very good purchase.

I used the soundbar with my Onn brand Roku TV and paired it with my Roku Wireless speakers....i tested it with and with out the speakers....i would have to say it really shines with the wireless rear speakers....its crisp, clear...has a OK amount of bass...but its worth every penny

A small sized sound bar with a built in Roku fantastic. More importantly was my experience at the Germantown, MD Best Buy. The young lady that helped me with my purchase was just awesome. She was both courteous and professional.

This is nice for a small apartment or even if you are close to your TV. Catch it on sale. It kinda kicka rumpage. For the price. Don't expect bass but lots of clarity

Great for streaming all our favorites and the sound bar actually has good volume as well, especially for the size and price. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this and paired it with two sets of the speakers and the subwoofer, and it is a fantastic 5.1 setup. The wireless setup was super simple and hassle free. I like the smaller size of this soundbar and have it in a console under the TV.

This is impressively loud for such a small box. The only issue was that it requires an hdmi-arc compatible tv to work seamlesssly- but this is more a function of my old bargain basement TV than anything. Still 50x better sound than even a newer TV. And the convenience of wireless streaming to boot...

Very impressed with the performance of this sound bar! Ive probably thought someone was knocking on the door 3 times thinking someone was actually knocking but its just the speakers. Its small and short good for space savings.

I have owned ROKU for years and love its ease of use and enjoy having all my favorite channels easily accessed. I bought the stream bar as it combines ROKU with a soundbar which I needed in my one viewing room. It works as advertised and I can now regulate the sound with ease!

We decided to "cut the cord" on cable. So we upgraded our Roku. Really glad we did. The new remote is much better and the sound we get through the streambar is much improved over the sound we got through our LG tv.
