But sometimes the sound effects seem louder while voices are toned down. Wish I didn't need a service provider just to get local channels.

This has decent sound, my tv occasionally has a line going up through it, but overall I like it.

It may not be (my favorite) Bose, but it comes second best. Sound is loud enough to enjoy the movies and feel almost like you are in a theater.
