Roku Streambar Pro

The Pro includes the media player so you are using only one HDMI port for both media player and soundbar. My Streambar sits right in front of my TV's "eye", so my TV remote does not turn on and off the TV. However, using the Roku remote will turn the TV on and off. Found that out by accident. It has a hearing clarity function that I use but doesn't seen to help as much as I thought it would. I do not like any loud base sounds.

Good sound for the Price.

If you want to truly get the most from your streambar you need to add the accessory speakers that connect wirelessly with the streambar. The Remote is very poorly designed the volume buttonare on the side of the remote also on the side is the mute butto. If you are right handed you will constantly be pushing these buttons when useing remote.

Worked Perfectly! (for 7 months)

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this along with the Roku Wireless Subwoofer and Wireless Surround speakers in order to make a wireless surround setup in my living room, and everything was working perfectly until my TCL Roku TV suddenly forgot about the pairing with these devices. Now, NONE OF THE DEVICES will re-pair to the TV. The TV can't "see" any of them. Now I have more than $450 worth of paperweights. DO NOT BUY.

Solid upgrade on the ROKU path - or starting out

If you are seeking a suggested path or upgrade path. 1) Start with the ROKU streambar, or upgrade to the PRO. The PRO is noticeably better than the streambar. I moved the streambar to another TV in this upgrade. 2) add sub - It's a huge difference in overall sound. 3) Add the rear surrounds. They are fun. If I had to choose the sub or the surrounds and stop there, I would add the sub. 4) then the additional set for the front, really opening up the sound stage. Everything is wireless, which was a requirement. Love my 15 year old Yammy, and Def Techs, the cords were just getting bothersome, and speakers have come a long way. Cheers, R
