Sound is great!

It has a specific jack requirement and even though our TV is kind of old it fortunately had the required jack. Without that cable if we would switch to cable TV instead of Roku we would not have any sound. A definite sound improvement but check your TV first for the jack. We've had this for a little over a month and at first everything worked fine but the last couple of weeks while watching Roku channels, all of a sudden we would lose video and would get an on screen message (TV) saying that it was searching for the signal. The audio was there all the time but we have been losing video. I have tried hard booting (unplugging power then plugging back in) and that works for a little while but then we start losing video again. We have had Roku equipment for some time now and this is the first time we've had any real issues. I'm hoping that this is an issue with this particular box and not representative of newer Roku equipment. I would recommend this product under the assumption that this is a problem with this particular box.

Also has vocal audio boosting so it equalizes the sounds from shows and movies between action scenes and dialogue.

Only complaint is sometimes you have to go out of what ever app your in and back in because the screen will go black. Rarely though. I feel like with technology in general, you’re bound to run into some hiccups.

Excited to play with scalability and buy the additional speakers and bass. But as a stand alone speaker it works so well. The app recognition alongside the Roku stick is pretty cool.

needs better remote

Sound is good.
