It’s relatively quick to launch apps. 2. I allows you to turn the TV on and off, and control the volume with the Roku remote. 3. The Spectrum TV app works on the Roku device as well as a vast number of popular apps. 4. Streaming of 4K content works well.

But here's some things I wish I had known (wish I had paid attention to) before I bought. 1) This isn't like a thumb drive. The stick requires that a power cord (provided) be attached and plugged into an outlet. So, it's not as subtle as I had expected. While it claims that some HDMI ports will power it enough w/o the cord...I have not found such a port (I plug it into a 2-year old Sony Bravia HDMI port). 2) Every now and then, I have to unplug it from it's port due to a connectivity issue. I get an error message on my TV which states their is a connectivity issue. I unplug it, and that does the trick for about a week. 3) It's portable...but I don't use it's portability as much as I thought I would. That being said...I wish I had bought a different model Roku. If the portability is a high priority...this is the model you're looking for. It has it's idiosyncrasies...but it works. My thinking is that for the price...I could I have paid $60 more and received the soundbar. Just my 2 cents.

As a tip, check the strength of your internet connection by going to Settings > Network > Check connection. This will test the quality of the signal and also measure the speed of that connection, to be sure that your signal is strong enough. Sometimes if your TV is located between the Roku device and the router, it may help to move the Roku device to a location where the TV is not blocking the wireless signal. Also the stick is a cleaner look with no box on the table We had a regular box also, just will use in another room. It's great for late nights when you want no one to hear your tv on. Plus you can hear sounds you wouldn't normally hear when you use headphones.
