Needs to restarted , by unplugging the stick from the HDMI port at least thrice in a month. There are better devices from Roku or better streaming devices. This particular device from ROKU CAN BE SKIPPED.

Ordered the free hdmi extender from roku, took 2 weeks to arrive. Now the hdmi just fits behind the tv. Go to plug in the power plug for the USB and discover that sticks out too far to fit in the wall outlet behind the tv. Returned.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This worked okay for a about a week, now it doesn't remember login information for several apps, so I have to log in to several apps (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Vudu, etc.) nearly every time the device goes to sleep, if I can get it to connect to the network WiFi (which is literally 2 feet from it.), and I have to have the PS4 powered and active and the 4K UHD player disconnected in order to get past the HDCP fault messages, it plays okay, and occasionally gets the spinning wheel. The device also gets VERY hot connected to the tv. the Roku is connected to a Phillips 55" UHD 4K smart TV. Unfortunately, the box was destroyed so this will be going to the garbage, otherwise I would have returned it.

It's responsive, has a nice remote, and most of all the "private listening" remote is a game changer for watching TV late at night while everyone else is trying to sleep. I can't recommend it though because of Roku's business practices. They have a history of trying to bully streaming apps into paying them more money or removing features. When they refuse to comply, Roku pulls the app. This has happened to Charter Spectrum, HBO Max, Peacock, AT&Ttv and YoutubeTV. (Seriously, just Google "Roku Dispute") As a result, I can't recommend ANY of Roku's hardware devices. There's simply no telling which app may become unavailable next, and nice streaming hardware means nothing if you can't stream what you want.
