Played with batteries, cords. No good. Had a similar problem with a FireTV remote and XFinity remote. Had to replace both. I had a spare Roku. Plugged it in and all works again.

However, was told when purchased that The Roku would also allow me to view local channels. At installation was told could only use to stream and not able to see local channels.

I think the cheaper versions of ROKU function the same as this expensive version.

The installer left after he installed it, but he could not connect it to Netflex because I did not have an account #. Still not connected.
