Pictures seem dark

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When we purchased our Samsung Q65 tv, there was an compatibility issue with ATT Direct where audio on some channels was inoperable. ATT could not solve this so they gave us credit to buy this Roku adaptor. ATT finally did resolved the issue and we've abandoned the Roku. While using the Roku, the pictures were much darker than watching the Q65 without the adaptor.

Headphone volume

I thought at first it was my headphones so I tested them in another device and tried the headphones that come with the Roku. The volume control, power tv button, and voice search are great but the headphone feature is worthless. I have since reinstalled my old device.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an older Roku 2 XD, which works fine but is slowing down, plus some features do not seem to work with some new streaming options, so I decided to get the SS+. You know, it's the same Roku account, same Netflix account, same Sundance Now account, etc. etc., but sadly, that seems not to matter. Netflix doesn't work, nor does Sundance Now. No real customer support, just a bunch of links to things to do - essentially, restart, reload, retry, but no actual solutions, but Netflix does not work - just a blank screen. After some tries, saw the word "Netflix" for about 2 seconds then blank. Sundance Now asks to login, which I do but it loops back again, and again to login. Of course, no one to speak with, nothing on the forum and the only solution I can imagine is for me to spend another 3-4 hours trying again and again, so...I plugged the Roku 2 XD back in and am watching Netflix and SN again. When the XD dies, so will any connection I have with Roku. I will just use the Smart TV options.

Size is something

The unit is inserted into the HDMI jack at the side of the TV. The distance to the WIFI router is about 20' and the router must be aligned in such a manner to get a stable signal. The POD type units never had such problems. If it were not for the earphone, it would have been returned.

I bought this for the headphones and they only work 24% of the time. When they do work they are great but I’m tired of having to pull the connection in and out trying to get them to work. I’ve tried other headphones to see if it helps, it didn’t. There must be a a faulty software.
