No difference from the older hardware.

If anything, the speed of the command is a little slower for the stick version. The stick responds better to the phone app than to the dedicated remote. Also, the phone app is designed better than the remote.

Like the item. Don’t like Best Buy

Tried exchanging it but Best Buy would not allow us to even though it was a faulty item. Bought another one and it works great. Best Buy lost a good customer though.

Inferior product, inferior service

Roku device often reboots. Most apps crash and return to the home screen. This is every time I try to use it. I have excellent bandwidth and a gigabit ethernet cable right to the router. Also the live chat support is awful. I'm sorry to say that. It's either a poorly programmed bot or a slow moving human with only a medium grasp of English. Either way it has been a huge waste of my time. Also the live chat session exited at 9pm sharp, right while I was typing. Low quality product, low quality service.

Roku Trashes Your Wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.All Roku devices INTENTIONALLY interfere with the WIFI network that they are attached to in order to communicate with their remote control. The result is that your Wifi network slow down to deal with the interference....this tanks your Wifi router! I had to go as far as to install a SECOND Wifi router JUST for the Roku sticks and TV's in my house! And yes, this is a violation of the Wifi specifications and FCC rules. No more Roku's for me!

Forces you to add debit card at sign up.

Color Washed Out on my Samsung TV
