Can’t beat for the price

While it still works ok I notice it really struggling to load certain apps in the last year or so. Especially YouTube TV. While I haven’t tried this new Roku yet - I am hopeful that the RAM increase, which is doubled over the old unit and the newer and more powerful ARM processor will resolve these issues. I have an Apple TV that works really well but is much less portable than the Roku. It’s also much more expensive and the remote is much harder to use. So I tend to leave the Apple connected to the main TV.

Good stick but some issues

Unfortunately, the stick doesn't work well with my tv. I'm not sure if it's because I have an older Samsung TV (maybe six years). Still, almost every time I turn on the stick, it switches to 3D (tv feature), which I have to exit out of on the tv remote, then it brings me to a TV settings screen which requires me to use the tv remote again to get to the Roku app. Also, the load time is a bit slower than my Firestick. I really wanted to love this...

A Smarter TV

Great Upgrade to Roku Express

I was having problems with the basic Express model with pixelization. When I read the specs on the streaming stick it said that it provided 4X the range and a stronger wifi signal. My bedroom TV streams perfectly now. I also really like the headphone feature on the remote.
