Good Roku model; Earphones substitute for TV sound

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this ROKU model primarily because I thought I could use the earphone pieces to listen to movies and other programs where the sound is too low because of my impaired hearing. They do work fine EXCEPT they turn off TV sound so you can only use them INSTEAD of the TV sound and not together so that others could listen also. Got these on a great sale at BB at the same price of non earphone model. However, will not be using the earphones when others also are watching because of the sound issue

Remote Works Good but...

I gave this 3 stars because the Roku box itself no longer has a AV port. Therefore, I can no longer plug my older surround sound into it. I now have to plug the remote itself into my surround sound to be able to hear my movies. This runs the batteries down on the remote. Bad move on Roko's part. My older surround system still sounds great and I want to keep it. It's just bad that it has to work like this now

Just what we needed!

We connect to the Spectrum App and have all the channels we receive in our family room on those ROKU TVs. We have several different versions. This most recent is the most advanced and works well. Delivery was fast and as promised. Voice activation on this is more complicated in what you have to say than we thought, but guess we will figure it out.

It did not have Roku or some of the other streaming services. I have three other Roku tvs and I really like them. This streaming stick allows me to access all of them. I like that you can listen to the tv from your iphone or ipod. For someone a little hard of hearing it comes in great.
