When cutting the cable chord, the Roku Streaming Stick Plus breathed new life into an older flat panel TV. It works very simply. Set up was a breeze. We don't use that TV very much, so this was an efficient way to keep it around at a relatively low price.

Samsung decided to stop supporting some apps (like MLB) on older TVs, and I was resigned to buying a new one, even though the picture on our current TV is still fine. I didn't want yet another remote, but when I realized I could operate the TV's essentials -- on/off, volume, and choose a streaming service -- from the Roku remote, I figured, why not? The Roku is great. Loads apps faster than the TV did, the menu is easy to navigate, the old TV remote is in a box somewhere, and I saved a few hundred dollars. (P.S. For power, I plugged it into a wall outlet. The stupid TV kills the USB power when it's off, which thus shut down the Roku as well.)

My Smart Tv was locking up when streaming Paramount Plus. Haven’t had any issues since we started using ROKU. I would like it better if the remote had the backlit option.

Had another streaming device that started to not work with a certain streaming app. I went with this and so far it is working flawlessly. It is simple to set up and to use.

Guys, I have to stand corrected on resisting buying this item. It really did help an old TV that I had with slow internet service. The remotes all tied into the 1 Roku remote and life's been good. I would recommend paying extra for the nicer stick.

I recently got tired of paying for the Spectrum box and the only option to continue using Spectrum on my Sony TV was to get this Roku product. I have been pleasantly surprised with the functionality of it and the ease with which I can access many applications, including Spectrum. I like the way you can scroll thru the Spectrum channels for easy viewing channels I like. My reason for 4 stars is due to lack of way to easily go to channels known to be your favorites. In addition, the lack of ability to get detailed information about shows being watched. Overall, it is a great product to replace the Spectrum box and has easy, quick access to Netflix.

Just plug it in, all of the major streaming services are already loaded, just log in and start watching. Small enough to take with you when traveling.

THIS PRODUCT IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT. IT IS EASY TO USE AND WAS AFFORDABLR.

Bought this to use in our camper. Since all of our other TV's are Roku except this one, it was a less expensive option than buying a new TV. It works great. The only problem is with the Apps themselves. They don't typically like it when your location changes from where it thinks you are supposed to be. But that is not the devices' fault, just the way the apps are designed. The Roku platform makes it easy to sign into your account and have all of your apps from your home TV come right over. No need in having to remember passwords.

Got on sale for a good price. Roku has a model and follows it well. Appreciate the volume and power buttons compared to old models. Like that the volume controls are on the side instead of lower in the remote. It makes them easy to find in the dark. Setup is simple but make sure you have room for the Streaming Stick. It does not come with a flexible adapter, although they are available, like their competitor which means it is going to stick straight out in back if that's where your HDMI ports are.
