Much to my wife's chagrin, I have a box filled with streaming devices. Apple, Chromecast with Google TV, and all the rest. Each of them have their positives, but each of them, for me, has a fatal flaw, such as the Apple TV remote won't turn my TV off when I turn the Apple TV off (or on, can't remember) requiring me to have two remotes handy. The Roku Ultra just works. The settings are easy to use, the remote is backlit which is great, it is updated regularly, and it works. We have on on each of our three TVs. The only downside is the home screen will have ads/promotions for, say, a movie even if you turn off the ads in settings. But we ignore those, and they don't get in the way at all for selecting your streaming "channels" (e.g. Youtube TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) A huge selection of apps, and it all just works including the remote easily and transparently controlling my TV on/off and volume. Tried them all and always come back to the Roku Ultra.

The Roku Ultra has all the features you may want in a streaming device. The installation/configuration is very easy and simplified. If you already have set up the Roku app for another Roku device it is even easier. Speed of loading new content and viewing it, clarity of picture and sound are all exceptional. The remote is backlit and the voice activation works very well. This is my second purchase of a Roku device as I wanted a 4k/Atmos capable device. This has proven to be a great value.

I have a 2017 LG television (it's not a smart tv) with the Roku Ultra. The picture is really HD clear. Being a baby boomer I'm not tech savvy. This was very easy to install on my television. Also with Roku Ultra it converts my 2017 television to have smart tv options. Also I like that the back lit remote that's a great feature. When watching television in the evening time.

Updated our 6 year old Roku and couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I love that we can charge the remote and don’t need batteries and love that it lights up so you can see the buttons in lower light. Setting it up was easy and I love how much faster this device works.

Roku gives easy access to apps, movies, live tv, etc Easy to navigate. The Roku Ultra is fast and has a great picture. Roku Ultra comes with the backlit voice remote. The only drawback that I’ve found is that you can’t change the channel by selecting the number. You have to just scroll through them which goes quickly

This is a high-end streamer in my opinion. Roku is very user friendly. This model is their fastest yet and it does not disappoint. It can handle all the sound types available including Dolby Atmos, all the HDRs and of course 4K, 1080p, 720p and 480. The remote looks slick backlit and I love that it’s rechargeable via USB-C. Holds a charge longer than the previous Ultra which I also own. The headphone jack is gone but I didn’t use it anyway. Bluetooth is available for wireless headphones. I recommend getting a case for the remote because streamer remotes tend to be slippery. A case will make it easier to grip and add protection and make it easier to find if you go for something other than black. I use purple for my Rokus and orange for my Firesticks. For my use this new Roku Ultra is a no brainer at a discount.

Was having problems with Roku tv 'flashing'. Tried every setting and just couldn't stop it. I've read that the tv might have a computer that's just 'slow'. After researching, I decided to have an individual Roku for apps and allow the computer to strictly focus on the graphics. I had a Roku express already, but it seemed slow to respond. I bought the ultra and it was very noticably faster. The lighted remote was awesome if you watch tv at night in the dark. Better than turning it to the TV to see the buttons up close in the dark. Voice search is the BEST. No more typing in search bars. The ultra keeps track of all my apps and programs and I haven't seen one flicker of the tv since I bought the Roku. I read about that truck online also. Glad I purchased this. Plus, I don't need a line of sight with remote and unit. No more remote 'aimming'. This is the one to get off you're thinking of getting one. It's not really that much of a price increase for the features you'll be using for years. Spend the $50 extra and don't be mad at how slow the cheap one is . No one likes waiting after you press the remote buttons for some things to happen.

Works really well! No issues with initial setup or using in general. The rechargeable and backlit remote is a nice touch and has a solid feel. It has only been a few weeks, but I am happy with what we have and will definitely be using it a lot more!

Very fast device compared to other streaming devices. Supports all of the latest tech features such as Atmos, HDR10+, Dobly Vision etc. The find remote feature is amazing, I have twin toddlers and the remote routinely disapears so being able to hit the button on the side of the unit is amazing. Only downsides is for some reason Disney+ seems to glitch out sometimes where audio will play with no video and the remote is very sensitive to touch and there is no lock for it. So if you leave the remote on the bed even the slightest movement will sometimes hit buttons. Otherwise it runs much better and smoother than any built in TV system or multiple generations of firesticks i've used.

This replaces an older version I had. I upgraded after cutting the cord. It's fast and the picture looks great on everything I watch on YouTube streaming. Highly recommended.

I've had one of these for years, and it works great for providing Dolby Vision and Atmos surround sound. Some of the smaller Roku devices can do Dolby Vision/HDR, but can't provide the sound quality needed for a high quality home theater setup. This item works so well for this purpose that I recently bought one for my brother when I set up a home theater for him so that he would have perfect audio and video from all of his streaming services without having to mess with different inputs and settings.

Set up was easy and I have had no issues with using the remote to watch my tv. I can move between streaming apps easy

The Roku ultra works very well. Easy to use and very easy to set up.

I am very satisfied with the RoKu Ultra. Very easy to use, and the Geek squad did an excellent job setting up my TV sets. The only problem that occurred, was the gentleman that I had spoke with when ordering, did not tell me to order enough, so, luckily the Geek squad had another one available in their vehicle, so all 3 TV's could be set-up when they were here. The gentleman had said that the Insignia TV that I had ordered from Best Buy, was already set-up for RoKu, when in fact, it was not. He knew I had a Fire TV, wrong information was given to me. In the end, it cost me more, but, overall I am happy with the RoKu systerm. Thank you. Mary Garbe

Its easy to set up and the remote volume controls is a very good addition, no need to switch remotes or even have multiple remotes handy cluttering space. Try to catch it when on special and you got yourself a really great deal compared to the firestick etc

Forget those tv apps. Get this works flawless. Easy setup and works great.

Overall it is a huge upgrade over what is built in with the TVs these days. Fast and responsive, the voice remote responds well, so it operates how i'd expect. The main issue is the slow inclusion of ads across the entire dashboard, ads to the left, ads to the right. The navigation is starting to become annoying when it is so integrated into a product I paid for, I am waiting for them to start giving you a dashboard with ads or for $1.99 a month or something you can get it without ads. Ridiculous really

Great picture, easy to setup, I chose Ethernet over WiFi since I had a connection right there. I like the rechargeable & lighted remote as compared to the models that use AAA batteries. I would recommend.
