Very easy setup, and simple to use. Great variety of apps. The option to use a headphone jack is a nice bonus feature.

Really do enjoy this Roku player. You can download pretty much every streaming channel you like and the ROKU channel included is great. They always have new older classic movies updated every month to watch. My fav feature though would be the ability to stream audio wirelessly through the remote. I have a young child who goes to bed early so I connect some headphones to the remote and listen that way. Def recommend this Roku player.

I was debating between the Roku Ultra and Apple TV. Really glad I went with this because I saved about $100 for comparable 4K models. I understand that the Apple TV offers advantages for Apple users, but I don't think it is worth the price difference. I am currently enjoying some of the free trials with Sling, Hulu and YouTube TV before deciding what to keep and not keep.

I’m comparing this to a Roku series 2. This thing works really well and is a fantastic value for a set top box. It has almost every feature the Apple TV does, but the remote is WiFi instead of infrared. The remote has a headphone jack for quiet listening, however I quickly found that I never use this feature. The remote has some voice search feature that remains unused as well. Perhaps this could have been cheaper if they had left out features nobody uses.

A very kind CS person at our cable service provider suggested we stop paying for multiple cable boxes and go purchase a Roku instead. Needless to say, we were extremely grateful for the suggestion and have started saving about 15/month on our cable bill!!! Installation was ridiculously simple and done within approx. 10 mins. Loads of streaming apps available. Streaming quality is excellent without any noticeable image degradation. So happy we found out about this product.

I purchased this roku to use on my Samsung 4k, smart tv. The few apps in the tv are clunky and don't always connect the first time. I have several roku devices already and know how well they work. Adding this device to the tv gives me more app selection and better picture quality. I highly recommend this device to anyone looking for the best image quality for their 4k tv.

This device works as advertised. Streams very well. The headphone jack in the remote is amazing. The only drawback is if the remote is moved, the tv will power on. There’s probably a setting for that, I just haven’t found it.

Roku is the best streaming device you can find. I've tried others, (Apple, Chromecast), but I always come back to Roku. The simplicity of use, the diversity of channels and the capabilities can't be beat. I had an older Ultra that still worked great, but my wife had issues with the Harmony remote I was using. So I decided to get a new Ultra with the TV power button on the remote. Now she can work everything (TV, receiver and Roku) with just the Roku remote.

Much faster than other streaming devices I've used in the past (WD Live for example, which is very old anyway). User interface is lacking, but the quality is great and it absolutely does the job. Love the remote!

I am renting a home with non-smart TV's and wanted to be able to watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. The Roku was a perfect solution and turned the TV in my rental into a smart TV. Now I have the ablility to stream everything I could ever want on the system in my rental. I am an old guy and was amazed at how easy it was to set up and use. I highly recommend this Roku for anyone who wants to stream from an older TV. Excellent quality and amazing offerings to stream.

The Roku Ultra gives you a lot of bang for the buck. My streaming channels come in perfectly and the picture and sound qualities are excellent. I do wish that Roku would make it easier to find private channels but you can Google them. If you have problems with your ear buds or headphones draining the batteries, rechargeables or dollar store batteries help. The weak link is the remote control but it has improved over previous models. It is still a solid buy.
