Love our ROKU!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We decided to get rid of our satellite TV in an effort to cut costssince it was going higher and higher in price and there isn't that much o TV that is worth paying extra for. So far we are able to watch the things we like using ROKU and some of the other apps (HULU, HBO etc) with an overall lower cost. Very happy with our ROKU!

Excellent with one major flaw

The device itself works great, is responsive, streamlined, and works as advertised. My goal was to use this with a hard drive full of my music and full resolution MKV BluRay files. The major problem is that this device will not pass certain high-res audio codecs for movies and therefore will not provide sound to a receiver without down-conversion of the audio to a lesser format. I did not realize this shortcoming before purchase, but later found out that Roku does not support all current high-res movie audio formats.
