    I have been a Roku customer for 8 years now and for the most part have really enjoyed the product. That is why when the new Roku Ultra came out I was anxious to get one. Unfortunately due to my latest experience with the new device and lack of support needed to resolve the issues I encountered, I am very seriously looking at other products from different brands and no longer using a Roku device at all. A brand new device should not be defective at all and to have two devices in two days go bad is very unacceptable by any standards. Then to not be able to speak to anyone via telephone, and then to have the chat line never even address the problems I had at all, despite the fact I provided very detailed information, made things even worse. I never even got to address many other issues that were also problems with this new product either. I only got to use each device for one day each, before they became totally disfunctional. The remote would constantly lock up and not work at all. The sound quality was horrible and had to be turned up to the highest setting and yet it still was almost inaudible. Then the crashing started and rendered each device totally useless. Then there is the very important fact that I spent many hours of my precious time which I will never get back trying to get these defective devices to work and then having to return them. I contacted Best Buy where I purchased both devices and returned each of the defective products. While there I asked if other people were having issues and they said they were getting lots of returns from others as well. This product should never have been released at all especially during this pandemic when people are counting on using their streaming devices more than ever, and also with the approaching holiday gift buying season. Sadly this useless product and total lack of customer support is going to totally ruin your reputation as one of the top streaming device manufacturers in the world. I have even recommended that others use Roku devices over the years and after this terrible experience I will never do that again.

    This is the second Roku Ultra that I purchased. It worked the first day, then didn’t work. The Samsung smart TV would not recognized the device. After an hour on the phone with Roku with no result, I called Samsung and they confirmed this not compatible with my Samsung TV. So I returned the device.

    Keep in mind it doesn't come with an HDMI cable that's needed to use it.
