More features than the last one I had. I really enjoy it!

I had to return this Roku Ultra because one of the important features to me was the remote-finder button on the unit. It doesn't work. Best Buy didn't have any more when I returned it but I was able to find it at another store & had the same issue. Roku should not be claiming a feature that simply doesn't work. This was an issue on two separate units from two separate stores & I found loads of customers with the same issue online. If you're buying it for the remote finder, don't bother.

I've been a satisfied Roku user since about 2007. My Roku 3 still works fine, but I've been thinking about upgrading, and when Best Buy had these on sale, it seemed a great opportunity. I've used the Roku Ultra for about 2 weeks, and tonight I unplugged it from my TV and went back to my very old Roku 3. PROs - love the remote. Can use wired ethernet instead of wifi. Cons - 1. Can't repeat music when using Roku Media Player. I keep a usb stick plugged in for playing music via the Roku Media player. On my Roku 3, I can set the music to repeat itself so my dogs will have music all day even if I'm gone for 8+ hours. The Ultra doesn't give me that option. 2. Hulu keeps locking up/crashing the Roku. This is why I went back to my Roku 3. The Ultra would play Hulu fine for awhile, and then start blacking out the commercials, and not long after that, it would freeze during the commercial, and eventually force the Roku to reboot. This would happen 3-4 times in 3-4 hours of TV watching. This never happened with the Roku 3. I use gigabit ethernet cable, so it's not a wifi issue. And the unit sits about 12 inches from my router, so it's not a distance issue. I have 2 other Ultras I bought for other TVs - I might try one of them on this TV, or I might just take them all back. Not sure yet.

This Roku works reasonably well. However, they crammed too much on the side of the Remote. The "Mute" button is very sensitive and mute the TV too often. It's a nuisance.

It's a bit slow it does not have enough memory. You can add A micro SD card in the back near the the hdmi cable which speeds it up a bit I like the voice remote And you can control volume and off and on at tv Calling it ultra it should be much better

Wish it had an infrared remote like the larger tivo units.

My purchase of the Roku system(s), yes I bought 2 of them, were based on some Internet reviews, coupled with a discussion with the salesman at Best Buy. I was looking for a DirecTV alternative to an ever increasing bill. I found that the units were marginal by comparision to my current DirecTV services. The menus were not as intuitive as the DirecTV guide that we have become accustomed to. My decision to return the devices was motivated by Best Buy's 15 day return policy. Given more time to become familiar with the devices, and the associated content may have panned out differently? The final straw was the buffering of streaming that I for one could not accept, especially during a time of cruicial sporting event viewing.

We bought it to watch one channel. It works great.

This was an excellent purchase for the money. Upgrade!
