    Too many hiccups with unit.. all my previous roku players still work like a charm, and thought this would be no different.. sound cuts in and out for one thing, and it is this ultra player since my other roku works on the same TV with no problems.. sound, or otherwise.. save your money.. shame I didn't figure out the sound problem was from this ultra before return period ended.. oh well

    I purchased this October 4th. It's now November 22 and as of today, the headphone option no longer works. It's no longer returnable to Best Buy and trying to find an email or contact number to Roku is just about impossible.

    Malfunction Issues

    This was the second Roku Ultra that I have returned. First would not complete the setup routine. The second stopped connecting to the internet. Other devices in the same room or near had no problem. Finally, gave up and went back to my old Roku box, which still works fine. Must be an issue with the Ultra. Have read other complaints.

    Most likely this will be fine for most people. BUT... Search "Roku Ultra black screen" and see how many people have this serious issue. I have two Roku 3's and a Roku Premiere and never had a problem.. The Ultra was a black screen PIA from the very beginning. Tried all the suggestions to fix it... no joy. Had to return it.

    Remote stops 'talking' to the unit. Have to reboot router and Roku device several times to get the conversation going again. Also replace batteries (NEW ones), hit the remote 'connect' button, and that did not work either.

    Earphones are cheap junk. And they made the cost over twice that of the lessor version.

    When I spend money on a streaming device and my smart tv already has most of the features I expect some benefit. Instead I can't even watch HBO even thought I pay for it. Stop holding customers hostage when all you are supposed to do is provide a box to help me watch what I want to watch. Goodbye Roku.

    This Roku Ultra is already going in the TRASH. For a NEW streamer WHY does it NOT connect to 5GHz Dual Band? Answer! It works on 2.4GHz from a couple years ago. WHY?? All stramers now should be 5GHz Dual Band for 4K UHD!!!! JUNK this Ultra is!

    Purchased online, July 24, units internet port quit working. BB warrant return expired August 4th! Very unfair it wasn’t a refurbished unit either. Purchased unit for its internet Ethernet port capability, very disgusted with the returns policy of BB. Will not be shopping there anytime soon.

    Stopped working, all I get is black and green lines on the screen. Tried same exact setup with another roku in the house and I works just fine. Hoping they have a 1 year warranty on it. Very disappointed.

    Returned for Apple TV. These are known for sound issues. Didn’t realize until it happened and looked it up. Roku is normally pretty solid but they missed on this one.

    Best Buy has a really crummy return policy. Despite the fact that my product has never been used and they still offer it today, I cannot return it. This is one of the reasons that every other major retailer is kicking their but.

    My son has a roku and loves it. So I bought one for myself. Was surprised that they now charge $95.00 for their basic service. And goes up to $180.00 depending on what level service you want Wish I had known before I got it

    My wife and I were left with this product on March 18th and have not been able talk to the installers or salespersons since! We are seniors and the transition from Fios TV aint easy!!!

    This thing locks up almost daily. And I mean I have to unplug it and plug it back in. So much promise, poorly executed. Oh and whoever put the mute button on the side of the remote...
