I purchased this primarily so I could watch TV with the earphones while cooking. They do not stay connected and cut in and out, the earphone usage for this is useless. So save your money

Cannot control receiver volume or mute. This is 2020, what's the point? It claims it can control "Volume, Mute" but then you get it and it turns out they mean only for a TV.

So far I have had constant problems with roku freezing when trying to switch between channels on youtube tv. When i called roku they just blamed youtube tv.

I could not get this to output 5.1 no matter what I did or how I connected it, to TV or receiver.

I didn't like this product because we had to purchase the Roku login just to watch movies, so we brought it back to best buy

Remote not working after 1 month. Done all the trouble shooting. No response from customer support. Very disappointed

The product was difficult to set up and use. Had to beware of scammers in the set up. Not worth the money.

I could never get this piece of garbage to connect to my network. Put it back in the box and returned it.

Turns out our 2-year-old Samsung Smart TV and our upgrade BluRay can't get Disney+, and Samsung isn't planning to release an update that will. Not much fun having $200-$400 "Smart" products that fail to do one of the basic functions you bought them for in the first place. I did get this Roku Ultra from Best Buy when it was on sale. Our 2-year-old Roku Express handles Disney + and a lot of other channels just fine, thank you. This one is better, because it also streams 4K and the remote has built-in volume, mute, and power buttons. VERY convenient. The picture on our 50" pre-Qled Samsung is very clear and detailed, especially with 4k material. I have ordered another one to replace the Roku Express, which will go to drive the 1080P television in the basement.

The de ide has gone bad ... think it is the controller. Need to return it

I ditch new model fire tv cube because of connecting issues and was getting angry with it so i decided to try out Roku ultra new model and it is working great. great picture quality. connected every device i had automatically with ease, no lag no problems. worth every penny. happy with my purchase

Excellent but it’s time to upgrade Roku, the actual player, not the remote but I would like it to have numerical keys to change channels rather than scrolling.

I have several previous Roku players and all work fairly well. This model is noticeably quicker and more responsive than the older ones I have. I also like that it has an Ethernet option rather than further loading up my already marginal WiFi network. I did use it on WiFi for a short time and was pleased that it was noticeably more sensitive than the earlier ones, and worked well even when used at considerable distance from my router. I wish that this one would have resolved one of the issues that all the earlier Roku remotes have: no backlighting. I use this one to view TV and movies in a proper home theater (no ambient light). One would think the top of the line model could include a backlit remote, but Roku cheaped out. So I had to buy a $20 after-market remote. How much would it cost Roku to include backlighting? Two bits? Shame! I haven't yet tried to program it so that the A, B, or one of the default provider buttons can be reprogrammed for a shortcut to the provider that I use, but it's not a big deal for me if not as my aftermarket remote does. Also, if not, how much would it cost Roku to make it so. Probably nothing. Shame again! There is no way to reprogram any of the buttons as a shortcut to a specific channel, say, MSNBC or CNN on Sling or YouTube TV, but again that's not an issue with any aftermarket remote with macros. Shame on Roku yet again! Roku may be leaving out these capabilities not for cost reasons but rather simplicity, but there is nothing simple about having to use multiple remotes instead of one. A simple solution is for Roku to offer an optional accessory, more sophisticated remote such as those provided by TiVo for their players. Come on, Roku. All things considered, though, it's a good player and the provided remote is satisfactory for most users.

I have streamed Netflix and Hulu through a smart TV, BluRay player or iPhone in the past. This Roku provides a clearer picture than any of those. The remote control makes accessing playback much easier.

Got this for my 85yr old grandma and she has no issues navigating the menu.

This is easy to install and set up. The picture quality is fantastic..

I decided to cut the cord to my tv and internet provider and I got to start streaming using Roku by a friend recommendation. I love it. Easy to install and easy to use. Loaded with numerous apps to watch lots of free staff. And you can add different channels if you wan to have also a paid service.
