Small but works well.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cut my Verizon cable and got Netflix and Hulu. It was the best decision ever. This remote is perfect and you can plug earplugs into it, so you dont wake someone sleeping next to you or if the language is foal in the movie and kids are in the room.

Favorite streamer
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my bedroom since we use my husband's PS4 in the living room. This has so many apps, and works even when the PS4 typically lags. Such a great device. I'd like to get one for the living room too just so we don't have to use the PS4. This is more efficient!

More Each Day
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.USB gives me a total living room media machine at my finger tips. With a cable provider and home WiFi and small laptop or even a 2 2TB Internal Hard Drive with 1000s of video and music files all controlled with one little remote is more than any one needs. You can even use hands free voice control total living room media.

Gotta love Roku!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switched to streaming a couple years ago and now have too much to watch plus saving $100/mo over satellite. Roku was the key. Pretty easy to navigate their customizable menu with the remote they provide. Plus they have their own channel and it's a rare week I don't find some classic movie to watch.

Roku - An Excellent Value
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought about five or six Rokus over the last few years. They are my streaming system of choice. I have never had a defective unit. The remotes work well. The Roku I bought recently meets the same impeccable standards as the previous units. They simply work and they work well.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Glad I got this — easy to use and a good viewing option for chord cutters. What was annoying was that it did not come with the HDMI cable. As this is the upgraded model it should be included. I had to make another trip and purchase to get that before I could begin using it. Aside from that, great.

Nice upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I received a message from Roku that they were going to stop supporting my Roku 2, I began looking for a replacement model. When I found this Roku Ultra 4K on sale, I jumped on it. The picture quality is great, and I've had far fewer streaming issues since I made the switch. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Love this Roku
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded from an earlier Roku and this Roku is just wonderful. It is fast, great choices and quality of streaming. So easy to use. We have an older TV which still has an excellent picture but not smart TV. This Roku makes it feel brand new and gives us everything we are looking for.

Easy to set up and use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the Roku Ultra for Christmas and set it up the next day. Plugged it in and connected it to an hdmi cable that I had to my receiver. Turned on the tv, setup wifi and was good to go. Selected apps and my cable info and started watching. Picture was clear and surround sound worked great. Very happy so far.

Very good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good streaming device, the only two issues I have found so far are that occasionally it freezes and it has to restart. This has happened at least once every two weeks. My biggest complain is that it doesn’t go into sleep mode or has a “turn off” feature, so it is always on, including the light at the front of the device. I have search online and so far there was in the past an option to turn off the light but now it seems it has been removed. I do recommend specially for the capability of plugging in headphones into the remote.

Great Feeling!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently cut the cord and loving life. More money in my wallet and no unnecessary channels. Using what we were already paying for (Slingtv, Netflix, Hulu and Disney+) the best part is being able to use my personal Plex server. I've gotten 3 Ultras (1 for my parents) and an Express. Makes life simple again.

New model, Same great performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have last generations Roku you can probably skip this but if it's older and/or you feel that your Roku is sluggish. Then yeah get this. The big improvement is fast response and great 4K quality. It also comes with a nice pair of headphones. Lots of videos on how to use this online if your new to cord cutting.

I love this!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Roku Ultra during the Black Friday sales, and was planning on returning it. Tried it out and was hooked! The pictures are way better than my old stick, and the apps launch so much faster it's just so amazing! Needless to say, I'm keeping it. Packed up my old Roku stick. Glad I also got it half off as well.

Earbud through remote issues, otherwise fine.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good. The included ear buds have a "handling noise" issue, and when you use the earbuds with the remote the batteries run down relatively quickly. My wife uses the remote/earbuds (not the included earbuds) while treadmilling so we have 4 rechargeable batteries, with a charger handy, to enable easy swapping out of batteries. Conversely, you can put the ROKU application on your phone, and listen through it. Personally, I do not use the "headphone" function through the remote, and the machine works just fine.

hardware works well support and documentation suck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have rated the Roku 5 stars, because Roku performs flawlessly when the settings are correct. I downgraded to 4 stars because 1( It needs a way to integrate a keyboard, because it is really inconvenient to have to use a point and click process to enter the multiple passwords and do searches with a "point and click" "virtual keyboard." I would have given the Roku a 5, except for the abysmal support and sad lack of documentation. 2): The documentation sucks and "nobody" seems to be able to offer meaningful support beyond plugging things in and rebooting. Here's the story: I bought a Roku ultra from a different supplier and it failed when trying to show high def movies on a 2160P smart tv. After much trying with support and in what documentation I could find, I returned the unit as defective. Ordered another one from Best Buy. Same failure occurred and Best Buy support was no better than "the other guy's" support. Since the failure with the Best Buy unit was identical with the other guy's unit, that suggested that the first unit was probably just fine, and that the problem was with settings, but I could find no real documentation. A friend who is a REDIT junkie remembered seeing ROKU topics, and spent an hour or so searching 3 different threads. He found an obscure setting buried a couple of menus deep in the configuration process, and once the values were tweaked, all has been well. Moral: The best hardware in the world becomes a boat anchor when the documentation and support are inadequate.

Great Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this Roku to replace an older model. I love the earphone capability. I can watch my show and not bother anyone else in the household. Our reception is clearer than in the past (cord cutters) and it is easy to use. Have not tried voice with the remote but I imagine that will make it even easier to use.

Fastest Roku Yet
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fastest Roku yet and continues to be zippy and responsive with the latest apps (HBO Max) as well as the recent Roku 10 OS upgrade. Some might argue Roku doesn't have the most super-modern UI, but it's always quick and "just works" which is all most want in a streamer.

Works Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Roku hooked up to an ethernet cable and the performance is excellent. Installation was a breeze. Just followed the menus. After using this for a few weeks, I bought a second one. Very pleased with the device. Made cutting the cord with cable a joy (and I am saving $80 a month).
