The Roku ultra itself is fantastic for a tv that doesn’t have a ton of apps such as vizio. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of the remote. Plugging the headphones into the remote for private listening drains the batteries and requires changing the batteries a couple times per week. I get about 6 hours of private listening out of me pair of batteries, unfortunately.

We have had the Amazon Fire TV for a couple of years and it has served us well. That being said, we wanted another streaming player for the bedroom TV and when I researched Roku, I loved what I was seeing. Let me say that it has not at all disappointed! I love the layout of it and there is SO much to choose from. The bells and whistles are fantastic too. It automatically detected the resolution of the TV at 2160, which I was thrilled about. The selection of apps is fun to browse through and if you subscribe to any streaming services, it's that much better. If you're looking for free TV, the Roku Channel has a good selection to choose from. The remote is cute and fits my hand perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Have a dumb SmartTV like I did? Where it came with apps but between the lag and the video issues, you just never want to use it? Thats what happened to me. Instead of getting a new TV and spending $1000s, I just spent $100 on this. No lag, great picture, and all the apps I use.

I bought this because my Samsung “smart” tv doesn’t surf the web very fast, and constantly disconnects from the internet. The Roku fixes all my problems. Very fast and I love the voice recognition, and that I can connect a headset and hear my game without bothering anyone else.

I have Ultra at one house and stick at the other. Ultra is much more flexable and has a better remote with the wild card buttons and remote headphone jack. Ultra can use wired or wireless input with HDMI to TV, which is much better than stick. Good app setup.

We bought a Roku TV several years ago. When the 4k was on sale for Black Friday, we bought 2 for other TVs. We returned our cable boxes (saving us $30 per month). We have MORE channels to watch now than ever...plus so much content is free to stream. You'll love ROKU!

Being able to listen via the remote and headphones is great for people who can't hear very well, especially where the background noises are louder than the dialog. Also so my kid can watch TV while I sleep in the morning. Has voice control and find the remote, which is cool.

I wish I dropped cable a long time ago. The sales person helped me choose this and it's perfect. Because of covid, I am home a lot and now I really enjoy watching TV and movies. This was so easy to set up, I have the system working in 15 minutes. Thanks!

I bought this to replace my four year old Roku which has been working great, but does not offer Apple TV+. But the new Roku is also much quicker and has the most realistic aquarium screen saver possible. It tempting to just watch the fish swimming all evening.

I chose the ultra because my family and I watch a lot of movies that I have stored onto a portable hard drive. So I just plug it into the ultra, and let the good times roll! The ultra is speedy. I have a few Expresses in different rooms, and this thing really flies!

This is my second Roku Ultra. Having owned the other one for a couple years. I like the dedicated remote rather than streaming from your phone to a Chromecast. The connection is always there, the kids can run the remote, and all the content can be viewed on your big screen.

We replaced our old fire stick on our back deck projector with the Roku Ultra and it's been a huge upgrade with speed, video quality and sound. Took 5 minutes to set up and the free Roku movies and channel were an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend!

This was my first purchase of a Roku device and I installed it in my den where I spend a lot of time on my laptop and watch TV or stream. It was easy to setup. I like the option to listen with headphones while my wife is in the same room working.

This product is loaded with goodies! There are more available streams than you can try out in a week. The ROKU 'channel' itself has load of free choices. The remote control is small and very efficient. The ability to use voice commands is a sweet addition.

I had one of these in my house and replaced 2 more during the Black Friday sale. It is a great streamer. The best feature is the ability to plug headphones into the remote and not disturb others. Set-up is easy. I would definitely purchase it again if I found them on sale.

Works well and I wanted the tv power and volume control, so this is what was needed. It still is not powerful enough to work with mpeg2 without transcoding, which I was hoping for with Plex and my cable card tuner, but it works fine if being transcoded in Plex. I would prefer an Android TV (Nvidia Shield), but was looking for a lower cost point and more apps. I wish you could program the pre-programmed buttons, but I guess that is how they keep the price competitive.

Like all my other Roku devices it works simple and easy, any aux connection works in the remote and with the added mute button works great. Setup is a breeze and you follow promps to setup your device to control the TV and my external suround sound system.

Bought one for a friend. Got to use it. Love the new upgrades. Seems even faster. Love the mappable buttons and the extra TV buttons. The new UI is a lot user friendlier. Sticking with my old one which still has the optical audio out though. Wish they would bring that back.

Needed something to be able to watch TV in our basement. Our TV provider was not able to hook it up without charging a $99.00 service call. This cost the same price, and it was set up in a manner of minutes. One time price, ongoing watching. Well worth the price.

Got it for $50 and it's amazing. It's fast, compare to other Roku Streaming Stick+ and older model (this one has faster processor and headphone in the remote). Sling offer of 40% off only works with Blue and Orange packages, not with regional packages which is a bummer.
