An app is available that provides the same functionality as the compact remote included with the base unit. The remote has four buttons dedicated to Netflix, sling, Hulu and NOW, which is unfortunate if you don’t use these services. The remote lacks a keyboard, but that is understandable given its form factor.

Great upgrade over the terrible Roku 4

One sad thing is that it no longer supports a digital audio for sound, so I needed an HDMI splitter to run to an older receiver (does not support HDMI). Most won’t have an issue with this. Good news is a deal with Peacock was reached and assume a deal with HBO Max will be coming soon.
