I have pretty much cut the cord and upgraded all my old Roku units to the Ultras. What a difference in performance and streaming buffering. Plus, Roku has pretty much everything streaming app wise over other units. I've use both wire and wireless modes on the units, and both perform great. I can't say I've had any issues over the past 6 months of use.

After experiencing Roku on one television, I had to have it on another. I love the different streaming services Roku offers. It was simple and easy to set up. The headphones and voice remote were fantastic added benefits. If you like the ability to stream other outlets or just want to expand your network viewing, this Roku Media Player is for you. I highly recommend it.

Roku is my go to streaming device. Easy to use, fast and even 4k.

This is the third Roku Ultra I have purchased and each update just gets better than the last. The new remote adds 2 extra buttons that just make using it a little easier. Overall the Roku Ultra is probably the best streaming box on the market. Since I have cut the cord and cancelled cable, this is my go to device for all my media and audio services and I am saving money doing it.

This is a review of a newer model 4670R "aka 2019". The never used feature is the preset channel shortcuts since I did not purchase any of those channels; I'd much rather have the ability to choose my own; I haven't tried the 2 personal shortcut buttons. I don't use the headphones since it impacts battery life, normally about 3 months with alkaline batteries. I use this unit on WiFi on a second floor and another on Ethernet - very flexible. I like the Mute button since I hate the artificially increased volume of commercials, even if you try to "normalize" or equalize volume levels. I turned on the TV's CEC, so ROKU would connect to the correct input. If needed, be careful to purchase the correct add-on expansion memory recommended by ROKU. I like the free ROKU channel and other free channels and the flexibility to purchase most any pay channel. There are many menu options you can choose and you may need to to reference the on-line documentation. If your ROKU remote or batteries die, you can always download the ROKU application. I heartily recommend this brand.

I was debating between this and an Apple TV since I have mostly Apple products in the house. But the steep price of the Apple TV made me look at other options. Glad I stumbled on this one. Simple to setup (aside from setting up logins for different service accounts) and simple to navigate. I especially like the headphone jack on the remote for private listening.

The Roku Ultra is easy to use, and has brought a lot more options for our viewing activity. The only trouble that we have encountered is that when we are using the headset, the video often stops about every 10 to 15 minutes. We haven't researched a solution to this so there may be one. So far though, when not using the headset, it has been wonderful.

Purchased the new unit because my other unit called it quits on me. I had the other one for more than 5 years. This one is faster and has more features and cost less than the old unit! I love the Roku units. Have other models all over my house since I cut the cord in 2012. Also like Roku better than Amazon Fire because of the ability to add more applications/channels.

I’ve owned the simpler Roku’s and this one is by far the best. I purchased one for our primary tv upstairs and one for the primary downstairs and both work great. Easy setup and easy to navigate. I especially like the voice commands. This was a great purchase that I wish I had made much sooner.

I upgraded my Roku Premium to Roku Ultra and I am impressed. The interface is easy and easy to program. The remote is sturdy. I love the addition of the volume and mute toggle/button on the side. It was easy to sync with my Panasonic TV. In addition, the headphones have saved a lot of arguing between me and my spouse. Now he can watch TV without bothering my reading.

Very easy setup. Love that it also turns the tv on and off with the Roku. Very solid performance that is much quicker and responsive than any Chromecast and the Smart TV streaming that is built into our Samsung and Vizio TV's. It also has many more Apps available than the Chromecast or Smart TV's, so we recommend it even if you already have those. You'll love it!

This is one of the best streaming devices with easy set up. The ultra is the way to go if you have a HDMI receiver to hard wire the Roku to the receiver as well as hard wire to internet. Best Buy Black Friday deal of $40 off @ $69.99. I have it programmed into my Control4 smart entertainment automation through my Sony STR-ZA1100ES Audio and Video component receiver.

I have used the apple tv and amazon tv. overall this has been my favorite device to stream all of our shows. I really enjoy that the remote can also control the volume & power functions of the tv with the roku remote. And if you have a person in the family who often watches tv while everyone else is asleep it also has the ability for you to plug in headphones so you can still enjoy watching your shows without the worry of disturbing anyone else. & now with people having to to home they have also added a lot of 30 day free trial on alot of streaming channels. unlike the competetors apple and amazon.

This unit is a huge improvement over the lower cost stick. The remote is far more powerful and the unit itself is more like what you would get from a cable company. Getting to the channel you want is at least 50% faster which was always a painful slog found in the cheaper models - sometimes it takes just seconds compared to minutes.

The Roku 4K Module is easily installed on our new LG 4K OLED TV. It is easy to use and navigate. The picture produced is just stunning. The Roku module is also very good value when compared to other processors. Quality of picture and sound is excellent. I have a very high end sound system and it sounds great after the process sound of the Roku.

I upgraded from a firetv box to a roku ultra. Noticed an better resolution for streaming services and haven't had any wired connection issues. The ethernet jack is the main reason I bought this unit and I was pleasantly suprised of the ease of use and the remote was a lot better than the firetv remote. I am now officially a roku fan.

Make sure you purchase the newest version of this product as Target had the 2019 in ad but when I picked up the unit it was the 2018 version. Main difference is how the remote control is layed out. Reference and print the picture of the unit you want from the Roku website to ensure you get the right one if purchasing at a big box retailer. I Purchased this to bypass my Samsung (UN55F8000) Smart TV functions as they are no longer being updated. This does everything I need it to do until I get a newer TV. Includes tutorials and online support on the Roku website as well as in the box itself to assist in setup. Many customizable ways to set to your liking including choices in screensavers and themes. Menus are very responsive and graphic user interface is fast and not laggy. Software automatically updates. Remote control is easy to set up and has an internal speaker which is used to play different remote finder sounds which is triggered by a button on the larger unit when remote is lost. Great idea when some folks might be hard of hearing different frequencies or if they have hearing aids. Set the remote sound to match what they can hear the best.

This is a great device which we use on our TV daily to access all our streaming services. I appreciate how easy and intuitive is for both adults and children. If there's one complaint I have, it's that Roku does not have access to HBO Max as of this writing. For that, we have to use our Apple TV which is hooked up in another room. As for 4K, I can't judge as our Roku is not hooked up to a 4K TV. I appreciate how you can use the headphones to listen to it from the remote but I have yet to try it out because it's not needed in our home.
